Are you referring to Avenue K or BV2? Last time I checked BV2 on Wednesday there were still few sets there but not at 50% like in Avenue K....

I also buy from this Thai BL shop, Chantana's collection. Reliable. Parts may not be absolutely shiny new but it's cheap to ship from Thailand to here especially if you have to buy lots of bulky parts. He's a nice guy and replies almost immediately from his phone.

In fact I have one parcel enroute from him now, my last parts to complete my mega project of 2013. Asked him for tracking number and within 30mins he responded.

I was in BV2 last night for a little stroll, confirm still plenty of seaport battle in stock at closing time. No need to rush, slow slow target what you "need" and gently pull the trigger can already...

For starters, you can check out the re-sellers list as suggested in the post above. Re-sellers usually have the more exotic Lego Exclusive sets that are not so easy to find at the shops and at attractive prices too. Most importantly you must know Mr. Alby, he is the man to go to when he conducts his Community Service (CS) for Lego bulk orders. His prices can't be beaten.

Currently there are some pretty good deals going on, the existing Lego distributor in Malaysia, ALJ, is set to lose their sole distribution rights come 31st December. So they are in the midst of clearing their stocks at attractive prices. Do check out Bangsar Village 2 (BV2) and Avenue K (AK) for the ALJ clearance sale. This is probably a once-in-a-lifetime event so it should not be missed! There are speculations/rumours that the discounts could get better (75%?) later as ALJ can't clear their stocks fast enough but it has yet to be confirmed...

With the exception of Mindstorm, all the sets you mentioned are either discontinued or heading for retirement. I suggest you plan your purchases carefully in order not to missed them and have to pay sky high prices for them later...

Confirmed ALJ will no longer be the sole distributor come 1st January.

What happens after that I guess some peeps already know since 1st January is not too far away. I don't know any facts of what's coming next, just rumours... So I can only speculate and hope it means something good for us AFOLs...

How much is it after 50%? I bought 2 sets at BV2, rugi lah...

I love this set, may consider buying more if BV2 also have 50%, too lazy to go KL... I'm sure Avenue K habis stock by this evening.

The RC train tracks are exactly the same as for all current Lego trains, 3677, 7938, 7939 and 79110.

However, the mine cart runs on a narrow gauge track so the designers added a different type of straight tracks (part no. 3228c) onto the RC track to accommodate the mine cart.

I have not built my Lone Ranger train yet so perhaps others can share their views...

Here's my take:
You will be able to connect the tracks from 79110 to the Silver Mine, whether the train can pass through the section with the additional tracks laid over it I don't know. Looking at the photos and with reference to motorised locomotives that I have (3677, 7938, 7939 and 10233) I don't think the trains can pass because the Power Functions Train Motor 88002 will get stuck. I'm speculating there isn't enough clearance at the undercarriage...
