Could someone teach me how do I take out that screw in the picture?

It is stuck inside, and it prevented me from removing my top casing cover.

Yup that is a rivet and not a dead screw. The only way is to drill it out but you would need to rivet it back again later or use a screw.

Drill at the centre of the rivet and make sure your drill bit is same size as the central of the rivet....too large will spoit the casing as well.....while too small may not able to properly to remove it from the case...

so go around check your toolbox for the right size....or buy at hardware shop for less than RM10...

What if I don't have a drill? Cause I don't have one..

Is there any other way besides asking other people to do the job?

Use a flat headed screw driver and try break the rivet head .. drag out with plier.. this will save cost from u buying a new drill wink.gif

I had this problem when my boss bought 50 used casings. .. darn! .. all of it like this .. using rivet!

@theodore_kh
That is not a screw, that is known as a rivet, in order to remove it, you will need to use a drill. But remember to use drill heads that are almost or slightly larger than the center hole, u can get drill heads at abour Rm1-2

drill is the only way, for perfect job. If not just file it of or grin it of. Rivet gun is RM15 for not branded type.

oh okay.. Rivet. I'll remember it.

My dad got one of those lying around in the house.

I never tried using it. Screw looks better, since it can easily take out.

Vervain : There are quite a no of sizes of rivets...so check out 1st whether the size u lookin' for is supported by the tool. Some support 3 sizes, some 4. Go hav a look @ hardware shops urself smile.gif

You do relized, that you may not be able to screw/fit it back again after drilling it.
