Yes , if you are going to upgrade. Then I could throw recruit-a-friend, gives benefit for both of us

You get faster level , I can level my alt as well

On top of that you get Cata , meaning you can level from 1-85 without a problem at all , you may have to buy pandaria though to level up to 90

WoW Battlechest upgrades you straight to Cata, and you only need to pay for whatever expac (which is MoP) separately.

Do you have your old account , since you quit wow ...can use that to ress and probably instantly ding a character to level 80 !

If you have an old account which is expired a year plus , regardless of expac , someone can just use scroll on that account , revive it and isntantly it would have with cata , you would have to pay zero

If it's more than 30 days since creation of the account/activation of WoW, you can't benefit from the RaF perks I'm afraid :/
