QUOTE(toomanyrulez @ Nov 24 2013, 11:58 PM) still looking for my 1st mkb.. if you are a real typist, go for blue switches. the one you mentioned is a red switch version (my Corsair K70 is blue switch).now planning to get CORSAIR KEYBOARD VENGEANCE K70 how about that? is it any good? i don't really know about the brands and stuff.. planning to get one becoz i love typing.. i feel tired when typing for very long time.. i want to be a faster typer.. with my current kb, i easily feel tired.. but, i suggest you to take Ducky keyboards. they are very awesome. |

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 25 2013, 12:37 AM) i was once guided at here before but i ended up getting Corsair K70. im not that type of into extreme customization person, some more im a fast typist. so getting a blue switch is very good enough for me. p/s : is contoured and specially curved keycaps really rare? my WASD keycaps are one of them. |

QUOTE(unequalteck @ Nov 25 2013, 08:24 AM) In term of building material, about the switch, I'm not an expert so I guess all cherry switches is the same, pls enlighten me if I'm mistaken for a mech kb expert, they always consider about the PCB board within the keyboard itself. switches and housing are just an essential.Housing wise, aluminum vs plastic. Price wise, cheaper MSRP now im still wondering is my Corsair K70 really using a dual layer PCB. |

QUOTE(unequalteck @ Nov 25 2013, 08:45 AM) Okay I see, but mind explain how does the PCB affect the KB? For hardware like GPU or mobo, PCB affect the performance. But mech KB is about the typing feel right? my brother, which was a Ducky keyboard user, told me it has something to do with the transfer rate of every keys pressed. not clear about this but i could remember what he said to me. |

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Nov 25 2013, 09:55 AM) Dont u guys see K70 is only mounted to an alu plate but there is no casing on it ? im one of them bro. The alu plate other brand also using. It not alu plate then should be metal. So what's the emphasis on alu "case" which is essentially the plate. Semua kena tipu. but im still happy with it. blue switches are always my favourite. |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 27 2013, 01:05 AM) Laptop's keyboard isn't using USB interface, hence no the default 6keys limitation. im in doubt either. even if they are able to put a 6 KRO onto a laptop, maybe the PCB board will be very thick. hence, the laptop's thin profile cannot be kept.Btw, I doubt your keyboard is really 8kro. I think it is 2kro but passing certain 8keys combination. |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Nov 27 2013, 01:12 AM) its a circuit board, brah. i mean that since a mech kb has 6 KRO (as default), normally the board itself will be thicker than laptop keyboard's board. so if you are going to plant that thing into your laptop, are you able to close it perfectly? |

QUOTE(quovadis123 @ Nov 27 2013, 02:18 AM) Actually why MX Clear is the best for tactile? Do it feel like heavy MX brown instead of MX Blue? it is the only switch that require most force when compared to the other switches but it doesnt give a loud click when registered. for typists, some may prefer Cherry MX Clear as the Cherry MX Blue sounds like a typewriter when pressed. For casing what kind of metal is the best? for casing, aluminium is always da best (best if brushed). EDIT : metal alloy casings has better corrosion prevention. im sure you dont even want your keyboard to rust when it turns older, right?
