Btw, there are cheaper and closer alternative, which is rosewill rk9000, come with 3 years warranty some more iinm.

sometimes right, that long warranty period is quite a pain in the rear for those who wants to mod stuff but feel it's a waste to void the warranty
but i don't think there's much mod u can do with a rk9000 right? unless u r those hardcore modders that taps deeper into the pcb n other stuff.

I'm interested to know how many of you buy mechanical keyboard for occupation use or more income generated purposes instead of gaming? 

Newly converted mech keyboard user reporting in!!

Today's trip to low yat plaza was quite the experience, selections were really limited and duckys weren't available but in the end I didn't bother.

Apparently I really love backlights... I didn't notice until i saw all those sexy keyboards lit up in store, so that automatically kicks steelseries and filco out. And then my girlfriend really likes blue so I had to find one with blue backlights, corsair k70 and razer blackwidow out =3=

In the end settled for Alvia Osmium (mx red), I really didn't notice this one until I got to the store, very happy typing on it. Truth be told I still can't tell which switch suites me better even after trying all of them, but I figured blues would wake my entire neighbourhood up so brown/red for me.

Thanks to all you expert mech keyboard kaki for answering my questions. My first mech keyboard~ definitely won't be my last

Oh well, my standards are so low after years and years of membrane that any upgrade feels awesome.
Is CM cooler master? Seems to be very popular, also saw a lot of Armageddon and Logitech, dunno what the fuss was about, some weren't even mechs

Since adoption to mech kb will took quite a long time, with expected increase in typo in the early period, I will suggest if possible, you can try to correct and relearn the right way to type.

You may also try to learn a few new layouts like Dvorak or Colemak so you want desperately trying to adjust back to the old typing practice or behavior.

Utilizing all 10 fingers to types?

I guess those who WPM below 100 probably similar to me, didn't fully utilize all 10 fingers in typing.

My typing practise is using 4 fingers of left hands (no pinky) and 2 fingers (no thumb, index and pinky) of right hands to type. It seriously limited my typing speeds at 70+wpm at best. If want any further than that, I need to correct my way of typing from scratch...

The homerow method or something for qwerty layouts. If I recall correctly, the bumps on F and J are indicators for touch typists

sorry i can only tell you answer by tmr (my first MKB blue switches day), but rk9000 is always a good model to be recommended by the experts kaki here, like human10 recommended me last time 
my first MKB im glad that i grabbed a ducky zero shine 2108 blue led blue switches
i mainly use index and middle finger for typing only, i feel it's because of my "pretty-long-fingers" (not lc sorry =.=) i hope i can full maximize my fingers on typing usage, ring finger (left hand) like used for "a" key only, ring finger of right hand almost 0% working.. then pinky finger of left used for shift ctrl, pinky finger of right hand used for enter , thumbs used for space.. long time practice made me adapted with this typing style, still can beyond 100wpm, but yes, as human10 said, try to correct and relearn the right way to type.

ya know ct is a busy corporate, they would attend to me I am grateful d haha, still appreciate them for attending to me and give me chance sell their stuff

ct is my supplier, who is also distro for all vortex, zotac, ducky,  rosewill, bitfenix etc etc, they mainly distro to heavyarm and all those big retail shops, except me who is part time who has a day job and sell their stuff, so I am grateful that they even want me selling their stuff since I cant get stock or have sales target, or even have a shop
