QUOTE(midnight2903 @ Nov 24 2013, 12:55 AM) Wah need so many times BTW, what is the wetsand? It's mean sanding with water. I don't know how to explain to you but if you ever sand something to paint, you need to wet sand to remove the dust, clean the surface and wipe away oily stand. Usually I sand, wash with Sunlight, dry them under sun light, give thin layer and let them dry, repeat 5 times, and give them a metallic clear or sparkling clear. I haven't got time for my project yet.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 24 2013, 02:32 AM) If you don't like red led, might as well get non-backlit and DIY (may need to change the resistor though). These are the few shops remaining which still got stock, have a look yourself. http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id=http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...ed55e27b&pm_id=IINM, red, blue, white, purple and ice blue shouldn't have issue. Hmmm... Got any photo of your light turned on? I wonder how bright is it since I'm sure the backplate is black color. So, it's the same exact plum just with and without LED? Afraid happened like Oni special case, unable to turn on etc.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 24 2013, 02:53 AM) Plum not as extreme as Vortex I guess (but their decision to make the PLUM96 wired version completely different from wireless version somehow shocked me)... The 6th point, had the circuit for LED mounting. Regarding the LED part, I think the rated LED should be 2V, not sure what will happen if installing 3V (white/blue/green) LED on without modifying the resistors. But the non LED is wired or not? And the wired version is? So far, I understand that there is four version. - LED wireless - LED wired - Non LED wireless - Non LED wired Gosh, it's nearly 3.30am, no wonder my processor a little slow. Forgive me for any lagging or delaying understand what you post.

QUOTE(midnight2903 @ Nov 24 2013, 03:22 AM) why 3.30am processor will slow? It's my brain. Not my rig CPU. Plus, multi tasking. Looking for a headphone and now flashing my phone while browsing taobao. Gosh, endless hobby.

BTW to those who want to paint the QFR casing, try search for plastic dip paint. I think this is gonna be a great can to play with. I don't know how is the correct using method but you can ask the seller for tips.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 24 2013, 04:07 AM) The effect looks like powder coat, LOL. I thought it's like flat color? Like flat black or flat blue something. Isn't that pretty? Or you prefer something shining? I fan of matte finished.

Oh... I forget there's glossy. Mainly because the flat black attract me more.
Theoretically, the surface need to be dry and clean before applying the plastic dip, no sanding, less hassle, and removable.
In normal painting process, sanding, wash, dry, clean, paint 5-10 layer, 1 layer of clear.

QUOTE(belfong @ Nov 24 2013, 11:58 AM) Thanks noobandroid! I found someone with ONI The only sure way is, ask him to try another spacebar on that Oni. Previously, there's two of us having problem with spacebar. But some seems to be okay. Build wise, it's really worth it to get Oni.

QUOTE(belfong @ Nov 24 2013, 01:14 PM) Noobandroid is one of the dealers for Vortex I believe. Am not sure if he tried another space bar. Hope this thread slows down a bit else he might miss the message. I don't think he can try as the item directly shipped to you. The only way is asking the current owner. 016 claim he tried 4 spacebar and none that have issue.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Nov 24 2013, 01:29 PM) I'm here daily checking, about the layout, i think human10 and other similar veterans could answer them faster than I do, since asking vortex takes some responding time delay They never reply me. Asked about Oni layout etc, no reply. Better late than never.
