QUOTE(mADmAN @ Dec 5 2013, 02:15 PM) hey guys.... i may have to replace my G15V1 keyboard which i LOVE VERY MUCH! unfortunately it started going kuku on me... my ducky dk2108 has a dedicated volume up, down and mute button. you can buy the palm rest from heavy arm or online store and there is tilt height. I bought it for about rm250, cherry red keys.so im considering mechanical keyboards... usage is mostly for work and typing out syntaxes... but gaming is also a priority... mostly FPS... but the current keyboard i using temporarily pretty sux even for FPS with some keys not being registered after pressing a combo. so whats a good and cheap mechanical keyboard that can replace my G15V1? my main priority - dedicated volume up and down button and dedicated mute button - palm rest - tilt height? any suggestions? so far ive seen not many have them pls recommend the cheapest option available as i also need to budget for a G13. i also might have to buy 2 sets of keyboard+G13 but feel free to recommend the higher range and expensive ones as well...just in case i have the budget thanks. EDIT: pls quote me when replying so that i get a notification in case i forget about this post. thanks |

QUOTE(Human10 @ Dec 5 2013, 02:29 PM) thanks for the recommendation... but where to buy? also... doesnt seem to have media buttons? wat about palm rest?QUOTE(justnits @ Dec 5 2013, 02:34 PM) would be easier if u state a budget for us? budget... dont know.. as i dont really know the price range of mkb and the diff between the switches etc.i haven't come across any mkb that have dedicated multimedia button, but quite a handful of mkb have integrated multimedia function, for example, on a Ducky keyboard, pressing FN + F1 is mute, FN + F2 is volume down and FN + F3 is volume up. not sure if this type is suitable for u? palmrest mostly need to buy separately. other than that, your option is gaming mkb. Corsair K95, K90 and K70 seems got what u want...but if u want to change the keycaps, gaming mkb will give u a bit of a headache. i tot it's only for filco. so far the G710+ looks to be awesome... although the G keys are a welcome addition.. not really something i want as ill be buying the G13 as well.... ive always hated those "integrated" keys where u have to press those FN keys... absolutely hate them hahahahha palmrest buy separately? dafuq? those that need to buy separately definitely out of the question... this basic item should have been included in the box and having to buy them separately is just....a bad bad bad bad thing in my book. heh thanks for the heads up on K70... seems to have everything i want... but price wise.. fooh... like better if i buy G710+ for more features! hahahaha... Finally receive my poker2, looks lovely. However I found out that the "Enter" key is defective i think, which doesn't bounce back as other keys did and will feel the stuck effect and heavier to press. Any idea whats the culprit and how to solve it?
btw i made a comparison of the stock keycap vs imsto. the stock keycaps are pure white i can tell, while imsto ones are little greyish ![]() |

If still sticky, then switch faulty, need replace.btw i made a comparison of the stock keycap vs imsto. the stock keycaps are pure white i can tell, while imsto ones are little greyish ![]() |

Just pressing the combination keys of FN + F1 to mute the volume, FN + F2 to lower the volume and FN + F3 to increase the volume. Mainstream mechanical keyboard all do provide this feature. i.e ducky If you are looking for better volume controller, you may buy it separately from keyboard. Dedicated volume controller, something like this Griffin. ![]() More recommended if buy separately. As Human10 recommend, you may choose something like this Greed Wolf. ![]() |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH..... well i actually am a logitech fanboy....when it comes to keyboards n mouse.
im EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my keyboards... coz i type alot for work....from tactile feel, to key layout (type of enter key and long backspace key etc) and even tilt height is a concern for me... and logitech seems to be satisfying my needs extremely well over the years... i even still own an old white logitech PS2 keyboard...n that keyboard is still functioning and is over 13yo hahahha i also have 2 units of the dell multimedia keyboard which is OEM by logitech.. owned them for 4 years now and they have never even been used.. only 1 has been removed from the packaging for pictures... bought them coz theyre awesome to use... and hard to find heh. as for mouse... the best bang for buck mouse ever... MX518 anyway... K70, G710+ both seem awesome but are a lil expensive and will take awhile for me to get them.... as mentioned before.. i also need to get the G13 to replace the macros on my G15V1. and im gonna need to get both keyboard+g13 at the same time. the ducky dk2108 however, at RM250 looks like a good deal... just need to find out how much that damn palm rest costs and see how much it totals up. anyone has any idea of the pricing? still welcoming moar suggestions *truth be told im hoping for my G15V1 to get back in line...and stop being kuku... love that keyboard so much... custom modded by ianho somemore. |
