How do we know a certain website is under what hosting.
eg. www.ABC.com is hosted by www.hostingcompany.com. But without knowing that info. how would we check?

I did but it doesnt tell me what hosting. It can get the server name where the website is on but not the hosting.

Any other ideas?

You can get the IP Address of the server, then do a reverse DNS. All this can be done by pinging the website (then you will get the IP Address) and then using the reverse DNS tool to resolve IP Addresses into hostnames.

Once you get the hostname, you should know what name the hosting company goes by. It would only work if the hosting company has a reverse DNS entry, though.
