Hi, friend of mine suggested me to come here for recommendation regarding PC. This is my first time building one and here's what I have in mind. I'm open to any suggestions. Planning to buy all of the parts from Newegg since I'll be studying in US.

[Budget] RM4k with monitor(around $1234 based on Google exchange)

[Purpose] Gaming. just gaming

[Hardwares that will be re-use] G9x mouse

[Monitor resolution] 1920x1080

[Games & softwares that use frequently] BF4

[Personal preferences] Open to suggestion, prefer quality brand

HDD: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM [$70]
GPU: ASUS R9 290 [$500] (not sure if I really want this or nvidia card. Damn it mantle just come out already)
PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620W [$70]
Chassis: ?
ODD: None
KeyBoard: I'll just a find a cheapo KB.
Monitor: ASUS VH238H 23" [$160]

Again, I'm open to any suggestions since I'm pretty much clueless with DIY PC.

I don't really need SSD, HDD will do just fine for me. Price for R9 290 gone up? because of litecoin mining? I'm buying all of this in January, so maybe I'll just wait and see what will happen to the price. Might even wait for version with better cooler. Couldn't find any CM K380 on newegg. Can you suggest other case? Lastly, is the monitor better than the Asus I picked before? Not sure what to look for when buying monitor..
