My Dell Notebook is about 3 months old..
It has P4 processor(1.70 GHz, 2MB Cache, 400 MHz FSB), 1 gig ddr ram and sadly no graphics card..
Just the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 which supposedly grab 128mb from my core memory..

Search google n did some reading on the internet about user experience on playing CSS on notebooks with the GMA.. quite a number state they usually get 20fps on their notebook..

With my notebook i am stuck at 2fps!! cry.gif
I have turned the graphics setting to LOW for every options.. still the same..
Any other things i could tweak?

Pls share your thoughts.. TQ..

Ehm , get the ati mobile graphic card installed , it would be better .

Unless your computer is greatly overheated , anyway , shouldn't be that slow ...

2fps ? like playing in my pentium 2 .

Pentium 1 try before ... not even 2 frame per miniute ... haha .  whistling.gif

i manage to get some low performance settings for the CSS on the net which makes the engine render low quality surfaces, no bodies, shadows, muzzle flash, bullets coming out of the gun, etc.. and the performance increase? 5fps! doh.gif

in the end i uninstalled everything..

i tot thats it for CSing on my notebook but last weekend i went to Mines Shopping Complex.. And as you guys know, a haven for ehem ehem CDs.. i saw a CS1.6 'Decayed' and decided to try it out.. Playing it on the my notebook was awesome! rclxm9.gif A constant 30 fps(which i set as max fps) at 1280x800 (widescreen) with 13 bots running wild on de_dust! Wooohooo.. thumbup.gif

Lol. No wonder you're getting such low fps. Anything above 1024 x 768 is kinda over-kill .

Playing CS1.6 on my laptop, when i set the video option to cater to widescreen mode.. there's only 1 resolution mode, nothing else.. 1280x800.. so i had to use it to play full screen..

And that is also why i set max fps to 30.. Playing at 800x600 is already enuff for me but forced to play at 1280x800, the game will slow down if i dont cap the fps..

Below is the screenshot resized to 640x400..
The models rendered very nice.. cun skins & sounds.. drool.gif
I play 2 hours of it everynite.. rclxms.gif
