People who work in banks, what is a realistic % of salary increment to expect? I heard its around 5% from a friend. Just seems kinda low.

perhaps more details needed before any advise, such as qualified accountant as in registered with any body as accountant is widely misunderstood term these days and 5 working experience in which line? audit? mnc? plc?

For 6.35k in finance/accounting, can i any further from here? not hoping for much but a mere 7k for the next jump....possible?

What makes you feel you should demand higher when there are tens of thousand fresh grad degree in accounting (highest graduates course) out there seeking RM 2k only. Even if there were 1-2 years experience jobseeker the salary of accounting student are around 2.5k (small or medium company).

My advice is before age of 30 years old you should sharper your skill even though the salary is moderate. If you are asking for high salary which not justify your contribution, your market value is low.

* Accounting course having highest population which include LCCI, ACCA, CPA, CFA, Degree etc. You may find it surprise that there are accounting graduates from University Mxlaya getting RM1,500 salary. Reason being there are oversupply of accounting students.

Job can be very stressful especially peak periods. Other than that, quite ok, time is flexible, can work from home.
