I think I might be a little underpaid here. Plus, my experience in geotechnical engineering won't get me many places with my degree, unless I take another degree in civil engineering. Any thoughts?

well in civil, u have a lot of sub-subject. People with degree in civil engineering can choose either they want to do structure, drainage, highway, bridge, geotech. Its a general thing. While geotech is the sub-class of civil. in Geotech, mostly u deal with piling stuff, ground treatment, site investigation work, settlement analysis. basically all ground improving work as a base for building.

Please comment about it whether it is underpaid ? or normal.

3) Professional Engineer / Licensed Electrical Worker / Licensed Plumber

Construction field required endorsement from them. Just one stamp on your drawings few hundred dollar, image how many drawings and it depends to your construction scale. Easily one month more than tens of thousands. Or witness some testing or power turn-on, stand there few hours, easily earn few hundred to a thousand dollar.

You can proceed with the interview while doing/collecting your PDP points. Once u pass your interview then only the PDP comes into picture.

New regulation passed by parliament in Feb. New exam not imposed yet. Always have 2 route, either through BEM or IEM. Nevertheless, BEM will ask IEM to conduct the interview even if u go tru PAE. PCE not yet in place.

If you have just gotten ur Grad Eng from BEM this year, means u still need 3 years as BEM only recognize ur working experience once you registered. Good luck.

Lol this is dam low. Is 5-6k the average for a 28yr old degree holder engineer in SG?

Oh ya, don't say 1SGD=3MYR, u earn n live/spend in SG n u only save/bring back RM.
