Ya i heard ppl said those advertisement posted for work from home for data entry, then said can earn extra income. This all bluff ppl wan woe.
Some need to pay money 1st, some is like direct selling..

better check it out before u work on any of this, and dont sign anything before u go through it ... too many scams out there ...

data entry basically means sitting at a terminal n entering a set of data into the system. previously, i was at a cheque clearance company. the data entry thr meant enterin the cheque number n amount into the system. another data entry job i had was when i was attached with a call centre. tht data entry meant recording down the customer's details n inquiries into the system for later market survey.

thus data entry in a nutshell means entering data into the system. if u wan to know more abt the position, i advice u to contact the company first abt the job scope.

This is the robot job. You sit there will a large pile of document, you have to type them into the computer. Data entry.

do it as part time job can lo.. full time dont think so la. data entry normally pay low and just enter data but learn not much thing.

To my understanding, aside from scams, there are a few so-called Data Entry companies hired people to work or to train the poeple up first. (To my understanding, maybe the software / some privacy Act that you have to fulfill gua.)

This data entry job is a little different because it involves calculation as well. One simple mistake and you're out of the job.

P/S: Once you're an expert, you may bring home and work. But the "mistake" thingy stills apply. You may earn big bucks but carelessness may vary. All the best.

Some data entry work really needed knowledge applied in reading and understanding da documents...
Altot is easy... but some people who not really understand in english will faces trouble in data entry lo...

data entry is basically clerk work... simple stuff. Just key in stuff into computer... print stuff.. arrange stuff... things like that..

I did data entry for a day... print stuff and put things in envelops

Is there like any good career advancement for these kinda jobs?

well, i heard data entry b4...but dun know it is true or not...
coz when i call the company, they dun really tell me wat suppose to do..
wat i mean is, they wanted me to interview wit them 1st, they wont talk much in phone..
n i know, if wanted to hav a data entry job, need to be paid b4 start work..
