Hi guys, sorry if I'm off topic or at wrong section.
I'm having low budget as I'm saving to buy a house, so I thought of buying a used forte 2.0, 2011 model. I'm aware that it stopped production, so spare parts maybe costly, but I really like the car which is in my budget compared to japs.
1) would you guys recommend it? 2) does it show its age already?(eg, less smooth engine/vibration or rattling etc) 3) Any valuable experiences you would to share about your car after 3 years? 4) Is it still a worthy buy at about 60k+
Sincerely appreciate your feedback. First time buying car, hehe

hi all, since you have driven and tested forte all these years, can you share your valuable experience on the updated price of spare parts & maintenance costs?
for authorised sc: 1) Brake pad cost(all 4) 2) absorber 3) other parts
non-authorized sc: 1) Brake pad cost(all 4) 2) absorber 3) other parts
comparatively, is it more expensive than T & H for the same parts?

thank you so much for your feedback. It is an obvious vibration. When I drove my own old car, I dont even feel annoyed with the vibration
the 5 possible reasons scares me, sounded like real serious faults

QUOTE(cyang86 @ Feb 22 2014, 03:51 AM) hi guys, i'm looking for used car, and i found a forte 1.6, 2011 model for 48.8K (mileage 52,000KM). wonder if this is a good deal? before I proceed to view and test drive, anything i need to aware for a used forte? this is the first time I buy car, your comment and feedback is highly appreciated wow, if 48.8k for 1.6. then 2.0 2011 should be 60 k only. i got offfered 64k man. i guess mine was overpriced?

QUOTE(Peggy Khor @ May 5 2014, 07:42 PM) Having a difficulty on the options below, hope that all sifus can give some opinion. Forte A - 30km mileage , 2.0, 2011 manufactured year, 6 speed Forte B - 15km mileage, 1.6 SX, 2012 manufactured year, 6 speed both condition are superb. Pricing about the same. Which one would be better? Is 1.6 having better fc? or anything i should concern with ? Thankssss I'm sure those who are driving 2.0 would have been very satisfied with the extra power + pick up over 1.6. IMHO, FC should not be a concern as long we enjoy the drive. Besides, you can drive confidently knowing your car has got extra 'pecut' when you really need it to chiong on certain occasions
