QUOTE(metatron @ Oct 1 2014, 07:21 PM) Hi all, Hi, first at all, I don't think the key is chargeable and when you said changed battery, what battery are you referring, key or car battery? Anyway, I don't think changing battery will cause this problem.I appreciate any help you can give me on some issues with my cat Model : Forte 2.0 Year bought : 2012 1st issue: My car sometimes cannot start. The key is fully charged, but when I press the start button, the battery will start, there will be AC, radio and everything, but the engine does not start. Happened a few times, and I tried both my keys. I sent it to the Kota damansara SC and they claimed that it is a brake sensor issue. They changed it but it is still happening. The only way to start the car is to pres the start button like 30++ times. I showed the SC the video of it and they "blamed" me that I changed the battery with an outside workshop (which is reputable) and killed all the electronics, which I told them, if that's the case, then all cars will be fried. I told them that it is a lousy excuse, might as well say I pump air in gas station and spoil the suspension... Is this a warranty issue? Can anyone advise me on what this issue is, where to solve it and how to get it solved? 2nd issue: I have changed the air cond compressor as it had problems I.e. Boiling water sound + sometimes not working. However, now the air cond seems to be not cold enough. It is on the lowest setting now. Did any of you guys experience this? Thanks in advance. It seems to me it still could be the brake sensor problem. 2 things you can try: 1) If you suspect your key remote battery problem, try to insert the key in the smart key holder (The key slot should be in the arm rest compartment), then start the car normally (by pressing the brake pedal to start). 2) If you suspect your brake pedal is having problem, try to start the car without depressing the brake pedal by following method: i) Press one time on the start/stop button ii) Press 2nd time on your start/stop button for 10 seconds or more *Do not depend on method 2 to start your car (because it is for emergency only), it is just for you to confirm whether your brake pedal is having problem. As for the aircond problem, did you check the gas fill in? Is the compressor running? Btw, are your car still under warranty? If yes, maybe you can try on other SC to check your problem. |
