dark room... used a small torch to light... specifically a zebralight sc52w.
using spot metering also helps.

i did a similar ghetto setup before using a compact camera... but this one with controlled diffused sunlight from the right side... in a makeshift 'box' with small opening to let in just enough light... then bounced just a little on left with a white envelope.
