As I said, you have to discover the best settings to bring out the true performance of the sensor. And commonly people think iphone is better because the picture is more appealing to eye. Big sensor still has it's own advantage.   Clean image is overrated. Composition is way more important than anything. A noise free image is not necessary to be great, but eye catching composition is. The noise from the Z1 pictures might too much to be accepted by normal customers. But the good side is, it leaves room for you to process the image later. If you feel it is too noisy, go ahead and denoise it. But some appreciate the details, therefore they don't care too much about it. Lowlight shots :  So my conclusion is - The image from Z1 isn't that appealing to normal consumers. But those who are looking for minimal modification, they will appreciate Z1.
