It won't wipe data. Just replacing system files. If you have issue just reflash stock rom with Odin and you are back to normal.

App like flash gordon won't work cos your phone is running so you cannot flash and replace system files.

Yep, I forgot he did mention the only way to install rom is by going adb


he said that new_rom command will backup and replace the rom.


what kind of backup does the script make eh?

Guys I use extreme memory card I my note 3 would it be a little overkill? Does the term ultra and extreme apply to all brands or just sandisk?

What Samsung do is consider great already, at least you may only lost the warranty.

Sony wise if you don't know and unlocked the bootloader without backup the TA folder first, you will permanent lost the Bravia / X-Reality Engine + DRM. This lost even Sony service center cannot give you back those features.

You extra lost the camera in Z1 as well, Sony still haven't solved it until now.

Unlocked bootloader is a must for CM/AOKP/AOSP ROM or even the custom kernel. And if you plan by only play custom kernel means no Bravia / X-Reality Engine + DRM as TA can only work in Stock kernel for all Sony new phone.

If you buy things from different seller or department or different ship date. It can't be combine.

If same as you mention, you can chat with Amazon customer service ask about it why the shipping cost is multiply up. Sometimes is their system issue as I had face it before, the CS can on the spot adjust for you. Chat during working hour as I notice night time CS is not that friendly and helpful.

Also sometimes it's the seller issue not Amazon. You need to check the items is sold by Amazon or third party seller, Amazon itself normally will combine.

yes overkill, i'm using ultra and i don't see any problem with it. there's no need for extreme unless you frequently transfer large and many files to and from ur computer

The ultra and extreme term just only apply to sand disk but the thing is you must look is the transfer rate, if u want to transfer the file faster, look for the higher transfer rate of all brands one..

Actually the main reason I want to root because I want to install AdAway.
Since AdBlock Plus really sucks my FB connection so badly!

Another thing I want to make my SMS text smaller. Is it possible?

After all, is it worth it to continue rooting my phone? Huhu..

Rooting gives you full control over your phone. For SMS text smaller, just press the Vol - button in the settings and text will get smaller.

joey, i have press the volume down key but the text could not get any smaller! the volume up key would make the text bigger anyway.

meaning, that is the only smallest text i could get but i want it smaller a bit more..huhu

My touchwiz is going haywire. Constantly hang. Even after restart phone. Anyone facing same issue? I cant navigate my phone now.

Ultra is good enough. Extreme is a bit overkill imo.

Try pull out battery and put it back? Give it a fresh reboot.

you can try go to the settings and see if there's text size, but it will decrease the whole phone's text i think, other than that you need to root it to get the text any way smaller.

Phew solved it for now. Seems to be phone searching for gps location or something. After turning off gps, phone running as usual now. Thank God.
