I've used it before, and still use it to perform local backup on the PC for phonebook, call and sms. Pretty nifty software.

Don't use it for file transfer, but nothing beats it for simple backup of phone data.

So do any of the China telco 3G or LTE work for you? Which phone runs what SIM now?

For the note2, achieving at least 4.5hrs sot was normal and THAT beat any other Android last year. The same is happening with the Note3 with the exclusion of the 4k mah battery devices.

4 to 6 hrs sot is quite normal for note2 and note3. All other androids are reporting around 3 to 4 hrs max, sometime 4.5hrs.

I wonder where you get the impression of 6 to 8 hrs being the norm?

Play around in settings. You can change grid and dock sizes.

You should ALWAYS back up your data as a safety precaution, even though rooting is not supposed to mess anything up.

Please practice safe computing habits and have a backup regimen.

Don't cry if the million in 1 chance happens to you.

That said, rooting is simply a software switch to open doors in your device which were locked by the manufacturer. It gives you control over the device you paid for.
