I wont mention the shop name here for reasons that you will discover soon, but a well-known shop in Menara PGRM in Maluri is already selling the S-view covers with chips. From RM49 right up to RM99 when I bought it two days back. Anyway. Both the RM49 and RM99 ones have the chips, the RM49 one is a third party cover while the RM99 one looks exactly like the original Samsung Sview cover.

The RM49 one (brand was Playroom if i remember correctly) did not work most of the time. I kept it in my pocket and the phone would always detect the cover as 'opened', so the screen was always turning on by itself in my pockect, and as a result the phone battery went down the drain.

Took the cover back to the shop the next day and topped up to get the RM 99 one. It looks EXACTLY like the Internet pictures of the original Samsung sview covers and even came in original-looking Samsung boxes, but I'm afraid the unit that I got still wasn't as reliable as I hoped it would be. Occasionally, the phone still wouldn't detect the cover when I close it, but at least now my screen wouldnt turn on by itself. I did ask the worker there if it is original, and he said yes. When I asked why are they selling at such a low price then, he paused a while and replied that they're currently having a promotion. I had my suspicions as RM99 would be too good to be true, but decided to let it go since I've already paid and I was in a hurry.

Now, I'm not saying that they're definitely selling fakes, but just wish everyone to be extremely careful when buying the Sview covers, and try the cover right at the shop before you pay. As for me, I'll just save up for an Sview cover from the official Samsung stores Sorry for the lengthy post!

Dunno. Maybe need csc also. Nowadays Samsung rom so many things inside sure got lotsof interrelation.

I got a Note3 from China. The phone is for chinese market( not some china phone!) and I think they block the Google thingy which made it less suitable/functionable for us the M'sian. I wonder if anyone here had any solution to 'turn it into a Msian Note3'?

Why don't you wipe via TWRP? They allow you to wipe your internal storage and micro sd if you want.

Why dun you try wiping everything with twrp/recovery. But must flash rom immediately after that la.
