He's the Autobot commander from the Japanese Transformers: Victory, which takes place after Masterforce.
*
seeing this again after so many years just kick some illogical circuits.
- why do robots needs a church?
- star saber bringing a sword to a gun fight?(well it's a shooting sword at least)
- japanese must really love the old west in the 80's-90's. seeing there are a lot of old west themed anime(saber rider anyone?).

QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Nov 20 2013, 08:21 AM)
wah seh. RM30 ada lagi ka?

Star Saber? never heard of him too.  blush.gif Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs ada la.

Only watched TF: Masterforce, didnt watch TF: Victory.  laugh.gif
*
victory was aired right after masterforce and followed by the headmasters(with chromedome and fortress maximus)

i think so.. my childhood cartoon actually TF is not the 1st place.

i like the most are: blush.gif
1) M.A.S.K
2) Thundercat
3) Ninja Turtles
5) Saber Rider
6) and many of japanese rangers (5 members in a team like power rangers: flashman, maskman, blablabla..)

those so famous now (G.I.Joe, Voltron, TF i really not that fancy, LOL..)
*
it's the theme song! cartoons nowadays have crap for theme song. that's why they can't be legend. cartoons in the late 80's to early 90's has have the best themes. thumbup.gif . most in your list have awesome themes. just compare the old voltron and the new one. the old one definitely stick to your memories better. good theme and yeah, peter cullen rclxms.gif .

QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Nov 20 2013, 05:37 PM)
gobots? hahaha. the theme song really tiong ah sing.  shakehead.gif
man, I loved MASK, Voltron, Silverhawks, and those crazy Japanese Power Ranger!

not forgetting Gabannnnnnnnn!

rclxms.gif

kids nowadays,  the cartoons all craps.  doh.gif
*
who don't remember gaban should be spanked laugh.gif

QUOTE(roytomas8998 @ Nov 20 2013, 05:48 PM)
Dont forget Mospeada, Macross, Ultraman.

I wonder what Tanleeseng watch those days? or he not yet born?  laugh.gif
*
i prefer the robotech variant, better theme song. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(sekngucing @ Nov 20 2013, 11:15 PM)
yes, optimus was revived in yellow lion's body
this was early 90s, i got out from school during recess (my house was in front of school, only about 5 meters) to watch the series. hahaha
*
victory leo was his name. and it was the ginrai version of optimus.

hey, i thought MP10 was suppose to scale with the newer MP. is it just me or MP10 is actually bigger than grimlock in that pic? in scale, G1 grimlock should be taller than OP. sweat.gif

The scaling was "rebooted" after MP10 (suspect its to cater for the subsequent MP cars , to fit into the trailer). Since MP Grimlock exist before him....  so he's off the current scale.
*
wow seems MP grimlock won't fit with any of the MP OP. it's too small against MP01, and still shorter against MP10. sweat.gif well at least the other MPs looks good against MP10 (at the cost of being shorter than an alt/BT figure).

*
hahah....yeah. triple changers are not that common in the TF world. the generation lines have 3 of them! blink.gif suddenly they look appealing to me nod.gif (probably because i decided to skip the new MG sazabi brows.gif ) . i'm no fan of animated and prime, so don't really have interest in any of those lines. been on a hiatus from buying TF since rotf buster OP.

the time i start collecting TF few years back, the retail price is already RM110 (or RM109.90)..

r u mentioning some hypermarket throwing price??? hmm.gif 79.90?
*
you bought the taktom version? just saw hasbro sandstorm at 90 retail. 150 for taktom blitzwing. so if i managed to average out at about 90 each, that wouldn't be too much of a hit. sweat.gif

that 79.9 was just a guess. haven't been scouting in a while. blush.gif

QUOTE(toh2020 @ Jan 21 2014, 12:28 PM)
anyone had collection of transformer headmasters purchased during 80's. I seen hardly anyone discuss about them. these are retro toys brought during 1987. they cost average about rm80 that time?

I m still keeping these below.

Transformers G1 Headmaster Horrorcons APEFACE
Transformers G1 Headmaster Chromedome

*
the thing with G1 is, as cool as it were/are, it's just bricks. i sold off my headmaster highbrow, powermaster OP & darkwing and sixshot to make room for their newer G1 oriented reiterations.

they are indeed solid built and heavier like bricks. the kinda plastic they built the toys. quality way far better than nowadays. but more costly those days. money hard to earn too.
*
what i meant was, they hardly can pose. minimal articulations. so they're like bricks in the display case. not possible to do any type of action pose. by today's standard, even my kids won't play with it. no offense though, just my view on it. sweat.gif

Okay. Understand your point now.

Forget about MP Jazz. Porsche does not like to be associated with violence or war figures and Autobots always have guns and weapon.

Why savour for Jazz now when there is Wheeljack, Bumblebee and mp-10 based Ultra Magnus coming? smile.gif of course Cliffjumper, Tracks and Sunstreaker to follow probably.
*
forget about bumblebee and cliffjumper. if memory serves, VW has the same stance as porsche. which is why there never was an alt/bt version of them.

i used baby oil to remove the old labels on my vintage tfs. works just as well smile.gif

baby oil leaves residues, but lighter fluid doesn't brows.gif .

but hasbro wont care what the alt mode is.. as long as can earn money what?..

example: the recent voyager doubledealer, which dont have jet mode in cartoon but they reuse the mold from blitzwing. sweat.gif
*
saw doubledealer today while getting sandstorm. it looks pretty good though. not worth it if you already have blitzwing(minor changes, unlike sandstorm), but might be a better alternative if you don't have blitzwing.

i'm kinda confused which to get now rclxub.gif . definitely not both as i never buy the same mould. i don't have any decepticons in the ranks currently, so might opt for DD since his head looks much nicer. i like the colours better too. athough there is the problem that he is not one of the original triple changers.

DD would definitely do better as a double barrel tank and maybe a swept wing jet instead. hasbro's being lazy. shakehead.gif

yeah, but there were only six original triple changers and double dealer is not one of 'em.

biggrin.gif define original

yeah, tfwiki did put there the original 6, but doubledealer do have 3 modes tho depends on his 'Powermaster'
*
to me, double dealer is more on the double agent class. like punch/counterpunch. their alternate mode is purely used as a disguised. so not really a triple changer....when compared to the other triple changers.
