my setup
msi-z87 g41
i7 4770k
seidon 120v

set voltage to 1.26v clock to 4.3ghz
when i start intel burn test, at first temp was ok not more than 70dgree
after while temp suddenly jump to 98-100dgree
then few seconds drop back to 60-70dgree.
it that normal? or just my hardware is bad?

how can i tell my cooler is faulty?
few scratch can cause the problem?
or just my mobo is bad?

when running the burn test, held my cooling pipe,
felt than cool changed to warm (i refer to other forum how to check the pump faulty or not)

you need that much voltage to get 4770k to 4.3?

i think u may reduce a bit Vcore..but it's all depends on ur chip....
every chip is differs...with AIO cooler max around 89-92c is quite normal
also certain settings needs to configure properly mayb..

I get a 4.6ghz on 3770k at 1.195 vcore, but this may be dependent on your particular processor and/or even the motherboard capability at overclocking.

When I used to own the Seidon 120m, with the above OC, IBT never touch 80*C even. So something is wrong somewhere.

Did you try to re-seat your CPU and apply better thermal paste?
