Hi, i have been diagnosed bipolar II when I was 16. I'm going to study in college soon,and the thing is do you tel your illness to your new friends?I believe there's still a stigma going on. Furthermore anyone who have depression or bipolar can you please share your experiences of friendships/relationship or work while dealing with this illness?

No more on meds now. But symptoms presist.

U don't need to tell ur whole class or everyone
Just casually mention to ur new friends about what might happen when the signs resurface.
if they r true to u, they ll learn to accept tht abt u.

If they are good, they can accept

U dont have to tell the whole world that you have it except for your family members. I dont see the necessity for others to know either..........

at least tell your BF or GF

just tell, and if they judge you. you know that they are not your real friends.

Don't tell anyone. I shit you not. No matter how close the friends at the end of the train they will f*** you upside down. Especially when after arguing or disatisfaction they will tell the whole world.

I am sufffering from pyscosis ... and i am taking xanax... most of the time when i have panic attack or anxiety due to short shelf life.

But for calming the shit f*** of me i take lorazepam and zolpiclone + a joint of weed to cal down..

When all else fails mary jane is the cure. I use it to control my manic.

Its okay just roll a joint or two bro. Not to be dramatic but we all start from mary jane and later more to uppers. But that is another story for another day....

What prescribes are u on now?

I'm no more on meds. Can't afford it anymore. But I was on xanax and lithium.

Better tell your group of friends. Good communication is a better path to understanding.

I fear far logical religious zealots more than people with just a slight quirky personality. A lil quirk is always good.

Hypomania and depression. Suicidal, pessimistic, withdrawal from friends suddenly, mood swings, one minute i wanna die, next minute i wanna be successful,self harm and also lethargic mornings.

Every week is a roller coaster ride for me.

Not surprising, bipolar people have always been associated with high IQ but low EQ.
I'm a scholarship holder and i've got 9 A's in SPM. (I'm not bragging, just trying to prove a point)
But my emotional tolerance? = 0

Try googling famous people with bipolar or is bipolar people smart.
