Does anyone know where to buy gym rubber floor mats?

I do deadlift at my home gym and right now I have to slowly lower the weight to the floor otherwise I could damage the floor, not to mention the noise!

Lowering the weight slowly is also bad for my back.. I wish I could just let go the weight and let it fall to the floor.. like in those professional gyms!

I prefer wood flooring like in professional gyms, but something like this would be OK. http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/gym-noise-...r-flooring.html

Anyone know where can I find this floor?

These kind of stuff cost like a boom. If you live in jb, you can come get from us. Rubberized Tile Mat with slip-resistant rubber . 53cm x 53cm with jigsaw edged, thickness 1.5cm. RM 70 per piece. 4 pieces RM 250..
Got 1 more type we supply to gym, Heavy Duty Rubber Flooring, 183cm x 122cm, 31kg per piece , 1.27cm thickness. RM 300.

That website is for supplement only. For gym equipment/ machine we order it directly from usa, usually only dealing with local gym.

Bro, try not to drop the weights down straight to the floor, risk damaging the weights and floor too. Cause it ain't bumper plates

like what Apple_DarreN said. the floor mat can only absorb so much of the impact, in the end most of the force will still go to the floor. some more you are doing deadlift, surely very heavy. if the floor have tiles, sure will crack.

Got a pair these mats from Fitness Concept RM40 a piece...

Thudding from dead lifts and rows are greatly reduced. The mats do good job of dampening sounds and keeping barbells from rolling away.

FYI didn't slammed weights on them or anything crazy like that sweat.gif

Guy, I'm looking at the V-Interlock Gym Rubber Mat-Tiles from Primelay and also Trident Tatami Mat from Kuckreja.

1. V-Interlock Gym Rubber Mat-Tiles (Made from SBR Pigmented Shred Rubber With Rubber Granules) 50cmx50cm per pieces RM30.00 10mm thick

2. Trident Tatami Mat (Made from High Density Foam) 100cmx100cm per pieces RM90.00 25mm thick

Any idea which is more suitable to reduce the skid resistant for indoor rower exercise machine??

indoor rower shouldnt really skid so much if technique is right.

as for those gym mats...no idea.
i know hardware stores like ace got sell inter locking mats...not made of foam but some hard plastic material.

but better option is just to reinforce the feet with more non skid pads?

You have a point there, but right now I'm placing the rower on tiles and it might skid.

And might damage the tiles as well, that why plan to just apply/place a gym mats first before placing the rower.

Might go with the primelay as it made of rubber which might have more grip and skid resistant.

I bought from Primelay here the website. http://www.primelay.com/ if you only want few pieces then yea you can get straight from their office at One South Street Mall.

If you plan to get more I think they might need to order from their factory and will have transport charges.

Look for Ms. Tan.

No discount, heard they will be closing one section for renovation maybe selling slightly cheaper to clear stock. Rubber smell not very much, I'm alright with it. Since it's made of rubber, you definitely get some of the smell, just have to get use to it.

I believe those are called panel mats, most artistic gymnastics apparatus manufacturers have them, like AAI, Speith or Tumbl Trak.

Can you please show me where to get this locally without have to pay over RM 2k over it? I practice flexibility training and the normal yoga mat doesn't buffer my fall too well.

Thanks.
