HELP! I am currently in the process of installing my first water cooling loop.. But I think I accidentally punctured my radiator. Is there anyway to check this without completing the loop and using the pump? I used the screw provided with the radiator. I am such an idiot!

Erm.... Maybe you only dented the fins?

Take out your radiator, put water of your choice in, and shake.

It's not really the fins. It's around the screw hole. I tried that. I can't really be sure of the water came out of the screw hole or the water inlet/outlet.

How near is your screw hole with your outlet/inlet?

Right next to it! But the outlet/inlet is at the other side. Meaning the out/in is on top and the screw hole (that I think I punctured) is at the bottom.

Erm... do you have stop plug? Put water in your rad, plug the outlet and inlet, dry the outer surface of your radiator, and then shake.

Tried the stop plug on! No water came out of the rad! I think it is safe to assume that it's not punctured right? rclxms.gif

Can't be too sure, it's best to connect your pump and do a leak test outside of your system. Just a simple loop will do. Reservoir -> pump -> radiator -> reservoir.

Even if it's leaking, just use some sealant or putty. Then sand down and respray your radiator.
