I would like to know how to choose which SAP module to be taken? Need to base on what criteria?
Is FICO difficult than other modules?
Is it possible that someone without any account background to take this module?

Yes, you can but u need to work very hard to understand the accounting works behind it. They usually advise that ONLY Finance background people to take up FI/CO but I seen many freshies take FICO when they join SAP consulting firms. It is much easier for them (that is what most of them replies) than MM or the rest.

What is your interest anyway? What is your background? FICO (Finance and Control) seems ok I guess but mostly people with accounting or finance background like to deal with FICO areas.

I'm IT grad, which type of SAP you would recommend?
Any where to get into a SAP company then learn SAP system over the company besides taking the SAP course (coz is too costly) ?

I heard JSPC got give chances to those ppl who wants to learn SAP and work there and learn there. Is it true? I did send mail to ask them, then they replied me to ask me send them my resume. So i sent it, but no reply after tat

Hi.

Dont be despair. You must understand that companies do not do recruiting all year round. There are time where you will be waiting for months to get an interview call into that dream company of yours and sometimes it is within weeks or days. Be patient and pray that they wont be missing your name in the next round of recruiting.

As for the SAP module, I would suggest you go for functional modules either Finance (FI/CO) or Supply Chain Mgmt (SD,MM) or any other areas that you think going to be in demand in the future. Having said that, you may want to avoid technical like ABAP & BW coz there are no ways you can beat those cheap labors from India. The choice is ultimately yours really.

Yeah, i do really hope at least they call me up for an interview. So that got a chance. Have to wait lo, if this month no news, then next month i'll still send my resume again and again..hehehe..
Btw, for SAP, do they need to see what you major in ur degree then arrange you into which field? Eg, finance/account student take FICO, IT student take those technical ABAP & BW?
What is SD ans MM or PP are doing? I mean normally the job function is like how? and also PS, PM and QM if you know.

My company is implementing an SAP project and I am lucky to get myself in. With free SAP trainings and hands-on experience whats more can I ask for? Mind you I have to wait for many years before getting this opportunity and I dont think many of you would be this loyal. Hehe

Will be finishing 1 cycle soon. Just hoping Indian SAP technical experts (cant beat their salaries) would be targeting the US markets first before coming to Malaysia or Middle East.

1. I cant give you an exact answer as I dont work in an SAP consultancy company. But I would imagine Finance/Accounting degree grads would naturally be trained in FI/CO modules whilst IT will do either ABAP/BW. I also think that there is opportunity for IT students to be trained in functional modules but I havent seen any example of this yet. (Forgive my lil' SAP experience)

2. SAP Abbreaviations. (Dont let them scare u off! )

SD - Sales and Distribution
MM - Materials Management
QM - Quality Management
PS - Project System
PM - Plant Maintenance

Yup seems correct, might I ask in which module are you working with in your company implementing SAP?

take MM or SD or BW or ABAP or BASIS

FICO is suitable for ppl who has accounting background
fresh grad also can take from non accounting , but also must have strong basic of accounting

i got basic accounting background. Now needa look for those company got SAP or implementing SAP. Is hard to find

JSPC bond for 2 years if you are selected and you need to compensate them if you leave within contract period.
