Hi everyone,

I have a simple yet curious question - is it possible for anyone to be really skilled in juggling (timbang) a ball, yet quite suck in actual play? personally i haven't met such an individual, though i know many whom are good at playing, but are mediocre at juggling. im wondering if vice versa is also possible?

Thanks for the reply!

timbang is individual skill and no external forces to pressure you. Actual play requires team work, you are pressured by opposite team, own team, and spectators. So yeah, possible.

Very possible.

When I was studying in the UK .. there was this guy from India who was super fit with a sportsman physique and he could keep the ball in the air like forever - on his head, chest, juggling and all.

However, he lacked the intelligence when it came to matches and he couldn't really pass or kick a ball. Majority of the time, he tries to dribble and as you know it, he wasn't very good at it either.

I actually suck at juggling but I believe I am a much much better player than he will ever be. One of my Malaysian friends in my uni even told me that normally good dribblers have good juggling control but says that Im the first one who dribbles well without being able to juggle.
