Hi all sifus, I'm new to here. I noticed the minimum requirement for fresh grad position in Petronas included Second Class Upper and such. I am wondering if I am below the minimum requirement, would they still hire me? I have 2 years and 6 months of working experience but that would still categorize me under entry level. Hope to hear from everyone. Thanks.

Hi aeir2020 and msismail thank you so much for the reply.

However I wonder that if they decided to call someone up for a chit chat session even though he/she does not meet the minimum requirement, does that mean that they do not care about the requirement? Or they just do not notice? Haha

msismail, thank you for the info. But sometimes when opportunity like this presents itself, it is hard to not to at least try it haha.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with this.

Be good, do good, and people will notice. One colleague is a super hardworking type, but very very low profile. Got recruited into another department & promoted to Manager.  thumbup.gif
Minimum requirement is set by HR to filter only from hundreds of CVs, it's not a rule cast in stone. It depends on the Manager, some prefer to have a guy rather than a girl staff (i.e. no chance of 3 months maternity leave).

Had somewhat similar experience when helped few Managers to hire interns/GEES for their sections laugh.gif

Hi apache_utara, thanks for the info. Now I feel more confident haha.

Hi guys, I have been reading almost all of the posts since the beginning of the thread. Thank you so much for the tips and advices. I will be having my SI Session soon. I am quite nervous actually because I am not good in spontaneous answers. Fingers crossed I will be alright.

Anyone went to SI recently? Mind to share their experiences? Appreciate that. Thanks.

Yes, just be confident, remember all your past experience regarding your characteristic, leadership, capability, etc. Be positive and speak up. I went for SI on September and passed it, and received offer letter yesterday

Congrats to those who are hired. I'm still waiting for their call/email for the SI. TA done on 3rd Nov at PNB Darby Park and received email 2 weeks later saying I'm recommended.. Usually how long does it takes to call you for the SI? Or is there any possibilities they'll forgot about me after 6 months?
*
Try to follow up with the HR. I just attended my SI last week. My chit chat session was 3 weeks before. Got my SI result saying that I am recommended as well. Usually at the end of the year it will take some time because SI will be conducted by some other managers and most of them are on year end leaves. Just be patience. All the best.

Hye! please can you let me know how long did you wait after SI in order to get the offer letter? And please also can you let me know what is the process before getting the offer letter?

It has been two months after my SI and I was highly recommended, but until today they are still currently working on my offer letter.. sad.gif
*
Two months is super short.

The average I know is around one year. From first interview until offer letter received.

My case is even longer. 18 months long wait.

Just be patience. If it's yours then it'll come eventually.

No point to panic as it's out of your control.
