If i send in my application through petronas online web, do i need to send the hardcopy version too? And i find it difficult to found address for Petronas Carigali Sabah. With google, i found too many address.

I am a Mechanical Eng graduate from Universiti Teknologi Petronas. Its been quite some time since I finished my studies but unfortunately I haven't even had a chance to go for any SI .

It is really a tough time right now. However, some of my friends did get called for the SI and some even have passed it and waiting to report.

Where did I overlook during these times?

**I guess I am one of the unlucky ones out there. Just sharing what I feel personally.

Baru dapat kol dari PETRONAS untuk SI.

No TA as others since i just only have 7 months experiences of working in consultant (Oil and gas Company)

after graduated..Feel so nervous rite now...They will use old format or a new one for SI?

Any info here?Tips?

it took me 4 yrs after i've graduated to get a call for a TA. i was a scholar and it was so happened that time, none of us (14pax) were not given an offer for SI. so, it's a normal case actually. just move on and open ur options to any companies/jobs first.

probably. so sad talking about cgpa. i'm not a 3.85 scorer, but second class upper is not something to be overlooked.
in short, xde rezeki. nak buat mcmana..

anywy, just to share that anything could happen. scholar or non-scholar.

now already in petronas, 3jam SI. puas hati aku. ahaha

For non scholar they go by experience, the posts are meant for senior exec to managerial level, for junior positions aka fresh level entries unless the qualification in need is very rare of which they have non or limited scholars to fill up that post non scholars might be recruited for the posts.

And there are situations to recruit non scholars for junior positions should petronas embark on a new project, here non scholar will also be benefited.

my background is mechanical & piping. not sure u r point on the 2,3,4 thingy. But, if u were referring to the hours for SI, at least 2 hrs to get recommended.

anyone know how long they gonna process for IT position in petronas ICT? and i'm freshie IT

I reckon u'll be hired under Contract basis right? Because SI is for permanent hiring. Try ask the HRM focal person (the one u've got the email from), whether u'll be absorbed later on? Because PTSSB is just a vehicle to get people on board faster. once there is an available box in petronas itself, they shall transfer u.

Yes, they're going to hire me on contract basis.My confusion is why am I offered MSC and by being transferred is it to other Petronas subsidiaries? What's the difference between MSC & permanent for fresh grads? I'm really hoping that I shall be working directly under PTSSB instead of the subcons.

btw, my background is mechanical n they're offering me the post of Data Management Exec.
