Maybe they are looking beyond academic results. People with the best results don't necessarily make the best employee.

Top Class but only knows how to score in University exams are a dime a dozen. If you score top class honors but fail miserably in the SI, then PETRONAS will know that you only know what is in the exams/book but nothing else. PETRONAS is looking for people who are well-rounded, who can work in a team and who can carry their ego respectfully.

from what i see, majority of the new executives come from overseas universities,utp n ipts....minority comes from ipta like me....hahaha

Result is just a express ticket to get you passed resume screening only. After that, it's depends in how you perform during interview.

I am sure their minimum is Second Class Upper. As graduate they are only looking for a candidate that is a fast learner, good communication and humble to learn.

It looks like RAPID will still continue, my brother's company is bidding for one of their projects.

Currently, they are looking for a construction waste disposal company. You still see their public bidding offer document in the news paper.

Yokogawa is selected for thier DCS and Safety.

I got a friend that is working for Dialog that is related to RAPID as well.

They probably completed their FEED design because of the process of selecting vendors has started.

But we cant rely on the fact that client companies will continue their project even with all those investment made on the FEED. Sometimes when economy goes bad they will shelve those mega projects for later or re evaluated to a cheaper cost project.
