Hye! please can you let me know how long did you wait after SI in order to get the offer letter? And please also can you let me know what is the process before getting the offer letter?

It has been two months after my SI and I was highly recommended, but until today they are still currently working on my offer letter.. sad.gif

Two months is super short.

The average I know is around one year. From first interview until offer letter received.

My case is even longer. 18 months long wait.

Just be patience. If it's yours then it'll come eventually.

No point to panic as it's out of your control.

if you don't mind,could you share to us your process timeline untill you got your offer? did they inform you by email or directly contact you?

Here is my timeline:

-Oct '15: put CV into petronas web
-Apr '16: 1st chit chat with representative office
-Apr'16 (next 1-2 week): 2nd chit chat
-July '16: technical test (by video conference)
-July '16 (next 2 week): SI in KL (all my accomodation provided by company,incl flight,hotel,all in) my first time go to malaysia smile.gif
-Oct '16: asking to HR by email for 1st --> no feedback
-Dec '16: 2nd asking --> no response
-Feb '17: 3rd asking --> zzzzzzzzzz

Any reason why they didn't inform to candidate either passed, decline,or pending process?

Thanks a lot before!

Hello friends. Does anyone here have information on the hiring process Petronas follows for hiring senior level Expat professionals? I was interviewd on telephone for a senior managers role on the 4th of May and since then there is no feedback! I am wondering if they have closed the position or still need more time to make a decision!!! Any one here can help connect me to a senior manager/GM in HR at KL?

it is hard to say bro, the one thing u can do is to contact them through email that you can get before. the one that contacting you for IV.

i already give up for mine since i was in SI stage at that time, the interview was postpone and the HR told me that my candidacy was froze due to oil price go down tongue.gif and they will contact me later in near future blink.gif .

i think you got the job is that just they didn't come back to you yet. that is how lousy their HR dept, dont know why. so many procedures. My advice to you is just wait because seem like you are getting the job. the thing is you have to take in mind that some even wait for 2 years to be called after successful interview with petronas. but that one is low level position. a position like you should be faster. btw keep sending them email and wait for it. wish you all the best bro.

hate to break it to you guys , you are competing with thousands of experienced people for limited position. Don't place high hopes. Plus the industry is not looking good at the moment.

I wonder if anyone has all these abilities you called. DCS and GE MARK are two different products which need at least more than 3-5 years to be expert in or called skilled.

I received an interview with Petronas Lubricants this month for Technical Executive position. I will be based away from my hometown though, I am fine with that.

I would like to ask how's the working environment? benefits and everything? I have 3 years of experience doing nearly similar jobs just different products, but I am not sure how is the salary scheme for my situation. how much salary should I request without being too over?

I actually just left PETRONAS. It's a great place to work in but some OPU and department has this sheeps and wolf mentality. Or even worst, not my job mindset.

During my exit interview, my push factor is 70%. Hahaha I can't take it.

It was shortlived. 19 months. Had more than 5 years of working experience.

Don't get me wrong. Environment is great!
