I have an .avi file with a resolution 800X432 pixels.

But my player can play only up to 640X640.

Is there any software that is able to do the conversion?

Just my thought, If that kind of resolution should have no problem if played on any player (can go to full screen).

Unless you're using DivX player (Pioneer DivX player for example), maybe there is some kind of limitation (firmware).
