When someone says aperture F2.8-3.3 means that along the zoom range, what is the biggest aperture it can go for. In camera world we want a bigger aperture (small F stop) as much as possible.
Take a DSLR lens, F2.8. We don't care what is the range, just as long as it can go the biggest!
yup, and at max aperture, lenses are known to be "soft".Take a DSLR lens, F2.8. We don't care what is the range, just as long as it can go the biggest!
aperture is measured in reciprocal form
f1/2.8 is bigger than f/5.6... for example.
