Hi, Is it worth buying this :-- http://www.wired.com/reviews/2013/07/ouya/The Ouya is not actually a viable competitor to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Wii U, and everyone rushing to compare the devices is misguided. The Ouya is more like a toy, a rad-yet-affordable hobbyist device. If Sony’s next big thing is a 747, the Ouya is a top-of-the-line, gee-whiz R/C plane. Is this true what is noted?

Unfortunately yes, Ouya doesn't have the computing power or backing from the gaming industry to compete with those big console.
It runs on Android and is meant to support Android games that doesn't require high performance hardware like mainstream games do.
But you can do anything you want with it, I've seen some people use it as a Playstation 1 emulator.
