As a regular member, I ordered "100pcs Mitsubishi DVDR" from Chee & "IDE to USB converter" from Motorbaby, two famous trader in Lowyat.net .

I told them to COD at Lowyat Plaza (in front of Speedy shop) on this 14 Jun 2006 at 7pm, I already PMed them clearly and given them my handphone number, they also PMed me their number. I didnt save their numbers in my handphone because they are very famous and Senior Member of LYN forum, I have no problem of expecting them to be turn out in the COD session.

Well, it turn into a nightmare, I went there at 7pm sharp and didnt see anybody waiting for me, so I guess they are busy at the mean time, so I waited... At the end, I waited for 50 minitues, still no one come to appoarch me with my ordered item or even a miss call from them. Really dissapointed and piss off. Why I wasted 50 minitues and money standing in front of Speedy waiting for nobody?

So, I went back and I PMed them, "What do you have to say?" . Their reply seems to be "You didnt call me" . One question, why do I need to PMed to specify time and place at the first place? No need to use the PM anymore right? Is that means no phone call when COD mean FFK?

Use your common sense, these people are just using their own excuse to make sure they are not to be blame because of FFK. They might said "You should remind me of the COD when I am very busy", if people take seriously of the COD no need for remind.

The main reason of starting this thread is :
1. Make sure next time when I COD, I didnt call the seller/buyer, doesnt mean I am FFK them.
2. Chee and Motorbaby are using method of "No phone call means buyer/seller FFK"
3. To avoid another failed COD, wasting time and money

I'd say both party have fault..
Yesterday i COD keyboard with silenthunter and we agreed to meet a a place..
I asked for his number earlier but i didnt give mine to him..
I went to the meeting point but realised i forgot to save his number..

So i just thought i will go there and wait and if he dont come i will go back and PM him to setup anoter meeting.

So i went there and i see him waiting for me.. end of story.

i didnt read thru the whole msg BUT in my book, if the pm u sent was acknowledged by him including the time, date, quantity and all those information, then maybe he is to blame since it's already beeon confirmed.

but if those info are not there..then...

Just look at the pm I sent to them. You will see what kind of information I gave.

what i can see now is not ur pm contents.

1. it's unfair that you blame them when yourself is at fault too. firstly, i don't know how busy Motorbaby they all are - they might be......... you did foolishly when you assumed so many things and didn't keep their phone number to COD either.

i personally dealt with Motorbaby before and the COD worked very well.

2. your signature is inappropriate not just for it's humongous nature but also you're blaming others when you're at fault as well.

3. the first one you should be pissed off / disappointed / angry would be towards yourself. cos from what i see, everything would've been fine if you had the decency (or some common sense) to save their number on your phone - after all you ARE and SHOULD be aware of how usually COD goes....

A to B : i'm here already, u here yet?
B to A : ok, parking. arriving shortly
A to B : alright, i'm in front of Speedy
B to A : ok

got once I try to wait for buyer and it end up all late and I wait wait wait , so I become smart ,keep on calling my buyer and ask when r they arrive rather then I wait at there like a FOOL or ask them when reach call/SMS me

And from the seller's reply to your msg above, he didn't acknowledge that he will meet you in front of that shop at 7pm. He only acknowledged the quantity and brand of the dvdr.


Anyway I'll get back to this issue here later, need to concentrate on the WC.

What kind of logic/excuse is this? You didn't even save their numbers because of their status in this forum?

Another thing is, you could have at least messaged them politely regarding your dissatisfaction instead of showing your blatant hostility. I'm referring to these messages:
That alone is another minus for you in this case. Motorbaby was even nice enough to apologise to you, yet you continued being hostile. Yet having said that, this part doesn't affect the outcome of this 'case' for me.

One 'key point' in this case is the fact that you purposely did not save their numbers, yet you were being absolute on the believe that "They're the ones who should call me, after all I did give my number to them".

On top of that, you're pointing all 10 fingers at them whilst absolving yourself from any blame.

next time you should take down the seller's number,regardless of whether he/she is a senior member or newbie-after all,its just post counts,not number of items sold or how reliable the person is

If u're so serious in dealing, i think u would inform the Seller when u there. U should save their number (dont expect that the Senior Member or famous is the issue that u wont save their number. They still a human who r still making mistakes, not a perfect Angel) U must get this thing very very clear until the COD done..!! In this, i dont see that u're very serious in dealing..!!

COD without phone conversation is very hard lar. since can COD y still save for the phone credit? call to confirm time and date will cost u how much in phone bill? if u r scare to talk, then jus sms will do. So...

I guess you didn't read karising's 1st post. He lost their numbers. So there's no way for him to call/SMS them.

So what can we deduct from your quote?
1. You've already made up your mind on the 100 pcs of Mitsubishi 8x DVD+R.

2. You would want DVD-R, but DVD+R is fine.

3. Both of you will meet at LYP at about 7pm.

4. You asked for his number, so that you can contact him when you arrive.

You told us that you've lost their number.

So, that means you did not contact them after you've arrived in LYP. It doesn't matter whether you lost their contact or whatever, point is, you did not contact them. Hence, by law, you can't blame them. You expect them to know that you somehow did not save their numbers into your handphone?

They have all the right to say that you FFK them because you've agreed on a deal with them, and you did not contact them on the time and date given. They might be waiting anxiously for your phone call at their respective homes. So they think no call, no deal. Simple.

seriously, if i am busy then i wouldn't even bother to go and wait for the person at the stated spot.

i'd rather wait until the fella arrive first (since i'm already at LYP) then gimme a call, then only i will go to the meeting place.

it's a logical course of action. you've got a job to do, you wouldn't want to waste time go meeting place and wait 30 minutes and end up the fella coming late and all.

i think chee n motorbaby is at LYP instead of their respective homes

use to deal with motorbaby's fren which i think is 1 of motorbaby partner...no problem so far.

but their dealing method is best to be call them up when u r there for cod..they have their work to do as well....

my advise for cod dealing is always bring the seller hp contact..just in case u wan to cancel the cod or u reach the place earlier..then u can ask the seller for confirmation or cancel deal...
