i have the polaroid z340 for almost 10months now i think. honestly i wouldn't recommend it to people who are interested in buying an instant camera. the quality taken straight from the camera is not so good printed out unless you're with flash but the flash tends to overexpose the shots. also, i don't know why but the sides have some sort of blue colouring ( i don't know what is it or where does it come from ).
battery life is not so good, estimate about 40shots (including print) and the battery dies(bad thing is extra batteries are pretty hard to get and to change the battery i think we have to unscrew the bottom). good for a dinner out with friends as you take at most 10 shots? but not so good if you're on holiday and stuff. i rarely print shots directly from the camera itself. most of the times i just use it as a portable printer for occasions where i would like people to have copies of certain photos from my DSLR.
the film used is zinc paper (3x4)which is relatively cheap for roughly RM70-80 for a box of 30pcs. for the instax mini its roughly RM20-25 per box of 10pcs.
good things i can say about this camera :-
- i can print my photos from my DSLR on the go (and crop them on the Z340)
- can reprint photos or choose not to print photos i don't like (unlike other instant cameras
- easy to scroll through all the photos i have and to choose what i want to print.
- uses SDHC card which is one of the most commonly used external storage for cameras, so i don't need any usb cables.
