May I know what is the maximum temp for Nforce 4 chipset? I am geting 56-57C idle with dinster's evercool vc-rf. It is quite high. On the original heatsink fan, it was around 51-52C idle. This is all without OC. When I tried to OC, the ori reach 58C while vc-rf surpass 60C when load. This is getting weird. THe vc-rf is full copper and the size is bigger than the ori cooler which was made of aluminium.

u're using Ultra-D? normal temp with Vc-RF should be around 40-45 idle... try re-check the placement of the Vc-RF again...perhaps pure contact between the heatsink and nforce4 chips are not properly sitting on each other

the fact that the temps are higher than those with the stock cooler shows that something, somewhere has gone wrong.
like the suggestions above, you should remove the cooler and reapply a nice layer of AS5. make sure you clean both the NF4's core and the cooler's base properly, preferrably with isoprophyl alcohol.

i just got this cooler from dinster too.
Running idle on my pc is 47c havent try full load yet. I think ur heatsink is not attach properly with ur chip set. Push the cooler top right clip. It wiill help attach the cooler better .

what were your previous temps Fluxs?
i had no reduction in temps whatsoever. i think it must be the settings i use in the BIOS to lower the speed when the temp is less than X degrees...

My stock cooler temperatures idle is around 49-50c during afternoon. My room dont hv air cond and quite hot during afternoon
Now with evercool is idle is around 46-47c. Btw i am using AS5 thermal for this. And i clean it with Artic cleaner 1 & 2. Any better way that can reduce the temperatures more?
