Just purchased 2 x nexus 32gb in Australia for A$937.90. The funny part of it is the phones are actually going to shipped from Google Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. -8 Marina View, Asia Square 1, Singapore. But you can't get the phone from google play Singapore. ///

I believe it would depend on the invoice. If the invoice shows distributed from oversea, then you cant get tax return. Or else, how could they knew whether it's order over internet or not?

I did online purchasing most of the time and haven't have single issue to claim the GST?

Just go to TRS in the airport after check in and show them the phone and receipt. But beware that you cannot claim the GST if you flight would depart in half an hour.

Eventhough you are an Aussie, as long as you buy the goods as a gift. You are allows to claim the GST.
However, they may charge you back the GST if they random check on you when you fly back to Australia again with the item and receipt.

Finally received my nexus 5 after waiting from 11/11/13 until now.
It's very light and it's built in Korea which a little bit surprise me.
