since nothing can be done on hardware side, let's just hope google will release major software fix on camera & battery.

But my guess they are only working on camera fix.

Battery improvement will come in next version of Kit Kat tongue.gif

anyone read this?

http://www.phonearena.com/reviews/Google-N...Apple-iPhone-5s

For me N5 camera is comparable with iphone 5S. In some case looks better. Check it out.

The main concern is probably speed.

Switching over from Nexus 4 to NEXUS 5 is awesome.
Phone was switched on from 7am to 3.30pm
(for weekday = 80% batt is remaining on LTE.
for weekends with wifi 85% remains)
Unbelievable. (Stock - not rooted)
But waiting for the latest Kit Kat update patch - now on KRT16M
*
great but what is your screen on time (SOT) usage?

My short comment after 2 weeks of usage, previously using samsung sgs4 i9505:
-Quite satisfied with the build quality. S4 felt flimsy.
-battery last longer than my s4( 5.5hr SOT on wifi/3.5hr 3g) vs (4hr wifi & 2.5hr 3g on s4)
-not as hot as s4 when running heavy games.
-speaker not as loud as s4.
-camera s4 a bit  better despite huge mp difference.
-n5 display looks sharper & brighter, under sunlight also much better.only missed the true black on amoled.
*
great to hear that battery better than S4 even though some test said S4 is better

looking forward this Saturday, my one will arrive smile.gif

Hi Guys and girls,

Wonder if you all had explorer how to use the "auto awesome" feature that come with the kitkat 4.3. i'm trying to "stitch" some of the picture, but no chance i could do it.. under the auto awesome: action feature, it should be able to be done "automatically" but, it was not happen on my phone.. any idea?

click this to view the explanation from google

some example from Phandroid

Btw, i did not sync my photo at all to G+. Do i need to activate that in order for auto awesome to be working?
*
you should upload/auto sync your pictures to G+. Then it will auto create auto awesome picture. As far as i know there is no option for us to manually create auto awesome picture.
There is guideline from your link given.

For Auto Awesome movie, you can manually create by choose photos either from local dir or Google+ Photos.
Quite simple & nice.

Anyone had already got KitKat ota update? I'm still eagerly waiting for it. Huhu.
*
Tired of waiting for OTA, I just updated via side load (non rooted).

First time want to use flash camera, but notice that in HDR+ you can't use it. All this while is like that?

Touch sound & camera shutter now seems louder.

anyone have this answer?

.just check with Telco your sim card can support lte.
For device, no need to do anything. Nexus 5 by default already set to LTE network.

Hmmm.. I just called Maxis and they said that I had to pay RM25 to change the Mini SIM card to Micro SIM card no matter it is normal 3G SIM or LTE capable SIM.
*
what?
i just changed mine yesterday at The Garden.
From Celcom to Maxis, no charge except for advance payment RM75 for my data plan.

Are you existing Maxis user?
Mine from Celcom to Maxis also no charge, why the heck they want to charge existing customer?

but sometimes u can't trust their online customer services. Just go to Maxis service centre & ask them better.

any of u guys face mobile network issue?
sometimes my phone will show error "mobile network not available"
but i can still surf net just cannot make calls and receive calls
strange....

some people said 4.4.2 solve the problem but not for me.
I believe Nexus 5 signal is weaker than other phone.
It's easy to lost the signal.
Hopefully there is another fix on this.
