I bought mine in Germany (white 32GB) while the store states shipping in 2-3 weeks. I got confirmation that it will ship no later than 22nd Nov. But it was shipped on the next working day and arrived 2 days later. UPS ground shipping- Eindhoven, Netherlands to Ulm, Germany.

Already used my phone for 5 days. 1st time Android user. Very satisfied with it.

Since I have the day off today and tomorrow, I can try to answer some questions if needed regarding the phone.

Recent usage is not indicative. This is because I've been using the phone heavier than usual due to the weekend and it's a new phone.

First impression is that battery life is quite disappointing.

However, with my normal usage (non music listener, non mobile gamer, non movie watcher, light web browsing with always on chat and push email plus max 2 calls a day), I'm confident that it should last a day.

What's SOT? Shots on target?

Edit: Downloaded, cannot start. "Unfortunately, GSAM Battery Monitor has stopped." Seems like not compatible?

No big deal. I tested it on my non-LTE contract (D821 ver). Selecting 4G will connect it to HSDPA+ (H icon on the network signal). Selecting 3G will show the bug, but phone still connects to HSDPA+.

Yeah, you're right. Battery may be an issue. I tested on 3G, phone disconnects and reconnects to HSDPA. Here's hoping it's only a UI issue.

In my opinion, this SIRIM nonsense should stop. It's not like Malaysia has higher standards in terms of electronics or anything. Why can't ASEAN countries meet together and define a set of standards that applies to all member countries? It'll save money, time and effort for manufacturers to get their device certified for sale in the region. Also, the increase in transparency will benefit all parties (except for the Malaysian market monopoly that SIRIM enjoys of course).

Malaysians will then enjoy earlier launches in line with the region. I bet Malaysians and Singaporeans are similar in their hunger for the latest gadgets.

Some manufacturer must start lobbying soon, *ahem*Apple*ahem*.

Not too sure about AUS. Typically in the EU, there are many forms to fill or one buys stuff only from shops participating in Global Blue Tax Free service. Just need to pay a small service charge and you pay only for the goods there and then tax free. Usually not available through purchases online, but I can't find info whether it is really not applicable.

Is your friend just in AUS to visit or does he/she have a resident permit? If he/she has a resident permit, it is already not allowed to get a refund, even if she is buying it for a friend.

I noticed there is a faint buzzing noise when scrolling. From my experience in my previous job, it is most likely due to insufficient grounding of the lcd screen resulting in unintended capacitive coupling.

Not sure if it's intrinsic to the design or just my unit.

Bought from Google Play. I don't think it's a defect. Most likely design issue. Only faint buzzing noise I bet not many will notice.
