QUOTE(C-Note @ Nov 9 2013, 11:22 AM) LTE will use up more data compared to 3G? 1gb should be enough for month use right? considering i have wifi at home and all i do with the data is whatsapp, insta,fb,twitter Depends on how you use it. LTE means faster data transfer rate and when you have a fast transfer rate, you will automatically use too much. For instance, when you watch a video and it loaded up pretty fast, chances are you will watch another one and that would means more data consumed. However if you only use the phone mainly for whatsapp, instagram, facebook and twitter, my bet is that 1gb would be suffice. Like I said, depends on how you use it.

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Nov 9 2013, 10:28 PM) I think if you guys can somehow get the it from Australia, whether the 16 or 32gb, it will be the deal of the year. And if you manage to get the GST refund, it's going to be something like RM1200 for the 32gb version. What a bloody steal. And to think people are selling the 16gb for twice that here. QUOTE(C-Note @ Nov 9 2013, 10:29 PM) gst can only be refunded if bought from physical store no? and you need to be there to buy it too? getting someone to buy it from there and export it to here won't get that refund for the tax.

QUOTE(whtan @ Nov 10 2013, 02:37 PM) Hi guys, any idea if the white matted back panel will become yellowish easily?? never deal with this material before. Dilemma in chossing the colour... You can try to search up the review on black vs white nexus 5. iirc he did mention something about the colour durability in the white nexus 5. But the sides for white nexus is all glossy, unlike the black one.

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Nov 11 2013, 06:37 PM) Actually, the radios in the N5 is software defined or hardware? If its software, cant we actually change it to an international one? the answer is it is hardware-defined or however you name it. It is a hardware limitation and cannot be change with software alteration.

QUOTE(QuickFire @ Nov 14 2013, 09:57 PM) I think I saw someone posting about emailing google to get a proper tax invoice which can then be presented to the customs people at the airport. I'll try searching. Well it's actually two friends. One is staying in australia and he bought it for me, and will be shipped to his address, while the other friend is visiting him and will bring the phone back for me. I'll try getting the GST refund, if not it's still a really good deal. Just hope that it doesn't come with any defects! Here's a good link for you. http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page4646.asp» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The TRS enables you to claim a refund, subject to certain conditions, of the goods and services tax (GST) and wine equalisation tax (WET) that you pay on goods you buy in Australia.
To claim a refund you must:
Spend $300 (GST inclusive) or more in the one store and retain your invoices. Have purchased the goods no more than 60 days before your departure from Australia. Wear or carry the goods on board the aircraft or ship and present them along with your original tax invoice, passport and international boarding pass to a Customs and Border Protection Officer at a TRS facility. Last time I went to Bangkok they have this VAT claiming counter at the airport. So I figure Aussie is also the same.

QUOTE(kop2299 @ Nov 16 2013, 12:02 AM) is it worth to pay additional 700 to get n5 instead of n4? for the additional money, you're paying for -1080p screen -bigger capacity battery (although aint that all better, still bigger than n4) -faster processor (probably will see some differences when it comes to gaming, typical usage wont notice any difference) -bigger screen. (5" screen on n5) -More solid phone -its a new nexus.

QUOTE(marcus_bread @ Nov 24 2013, 11:26 AM) Then I only could come to a conclusion that the ~RM300-400+ increase in price in the India set (INR 28,999 = RM1485) compared to the US/Aussie set (AUD$349 = RM1027) (USD349 = RM1121) is because of the headset itself.

QUOTE(Ahmaz @ Nov 24 2013, 01:05 PM) that headset isn't worth RM300-400 lol I didnt say that the headset worth RM300-400. I am only comparing the price of the India set which have the earphone with the price of the US/Aus set which don't have the earphone. Of which the difference is RM300-400.

QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Nov 25 2013, 10:16 PM) Joke aside, it's true right? In a way Nokia 3310's battery life beats number of smartphones battery life There. There's a reason why smartphones consume battery more than a 3310. I think this 3310 joke is really out of the topic here This post has been edited by clon12: Nov 25 2013, 10:19 PM

QUOTE(barbar554 @ Dec 4 2013, 11:23 PM) My girlfriend is staying in Melbourne at her aunt's place. So I sent her the money via PayPal and got her to order the phone on my behalf. She'll only be coming back on Dec 27... SO LOOOOONG, MY NEXUS! I really wish it comes with no defects whatsoever 'cause she's a total newb when it comes to handling all the crap that comes with the RMA process and neither do I want to trouble her. from your statement...youre more anxious waiting for the phone rather than your girlfriend...

QUOTE(barbar554 @ Dec 5 2013, 12:12 AM) HAHAHAHA! Eh... she did question my loyalty once. Whether I see her or my gadgets as priority, LOL! Man, trust me. That's one situation you'd never want to be in Heck, there was once one of our cats knocked over one of my SONOS speakers in the living room and I got SOOOO MAD that day. Maybe that's why she asked... But yeah, she knows I'm really passionate about tech stuff Well, you should not give her anymore insecurity hahahaha. later she thought she cant even win a lifeless device. being single has its perks just wait calmly for the device. its just another 3 weeks anyway haha
