The way you guys describe ASC I'm beginning to think it is very different from stability programs in other cars 

It sounds more like torque vectoring than a safety feature  Other stability programs cut engine power when they activate, you guys don't seem to have this problem 

ah yes thanks for reminding on the ELF... the "high rev" is probably you needing to warm up the fluid la, hence it's always recommended to stick with manufacturer's recommendations

btw, proton is still using ELF or they have their own fluid ady?

btw our manual transmission is under 20k km OCI? thought that's usually for auto and manual is double that OCI or some people OCI it at 80k km or when it's feeling sticky during shifts

what if your engine f***ed up? you service outside = warranty void.
do you know how much does a brand new 4b engine cost?

of course you can say you can get half cut, upgrade 4b11 (2.0 liter) and so on so forth, but can you guarantee the half cut engine condition?

are you sure your car won't be sitting at the workshop more than the road?

if you keep your wira as a spare car, ok la you can let the f***ed up inspira (or any other new car) sit at the workshop for weeks/months no problem.

also, outside mechanics doing a better job than SC is HIGHLY subjective.
how sure are you on that? what if they do worse job? not to mention using VERY questionable after market parts all in the name of profit.

if you can afford to void the warranty, by all means, go ahead.
just don't cry later when you spill the milk.
where you see proton offering free 5 service?

and for proton, free service only cover labour cost, not part cost (eg: engine oil/oil filter)
