Hahaha, BigBear approved my retouching on Sdyney's pix, so there you go...

By adjusting the levels and curves, the darker areas will become slightly noisier.

the 2nd shot, the noise on the skin, and some burnt out skin tone just added the feel. however it look a bit purpleish to on my monitor, nonetheless, one good shot it is.

yeah, it's slightly more magenta... but changing curves do give it more contrast, hence the burn out look and also the extra noise.
