I received the Brando Powercase Jacket 3800 mAh yesterday and it works very well providing additional power to the phone. It is basically a clipon case. Assuming it gives you 80% efficiency it is just like having an additional battery to your phone. Only negative it adds a slight bulk to phone ( total width is now 15 mm vs original 8.3mm ) with a total weight of 300gm vs 168 gm without it
I quite like the added weight as it gives a more solid feel to the phone
Bought it just to test it out
The powercase charges the phone approx 25% per hour
Might be more practical getting an extra battery instead
There is now available another model costing US$4 ( US$38) more that comes with a flip cover

Tried to use mobile Odin to flash HK DMJ8 ( have failed using PC Odin) n ROM apparently successfully flash but phone softbrick as it goes into continual bootloop.
No choice but to use PC Odin to flash back UK DMJ6 to revive phone

Try yourself n decide as there are free versions
Both quite similar n up to your personal taste
None is worse or better n depends on what you want in a launcher

Easiest way is hold down home button first than simultaneously press power n vol down same time

Did you try my proposal #516?
If still can not it is probably a hardware issue . I faced similar problem in my first galaxy S n only service center can repair it
It should be a straightforward easy process n no need so many attempts
Finally NOT necessary to switch off phone to go to download mode, I never do it in all my Samsung phones

Just updated my firmware to DMJ7 ( UK) from DMJ6 using Mobile Odin. Root and everything remains intact

My baseband is MJ7 too. I downloaded the rom from Sammobile.com and used Mobile Odin to flash it

I have failed installing the HK MJ8 rom three times using PC Odin ( last time I redownloaded the rom) and each time error message in odin was ext4 partition failed .... Last attempt using Mobile Odin the flash went off well but phone softbrick as it keeps on rebooting at Samsung logo. In the end I use PC Odin to flash back UK MJ6 rom to revive phone. You can try and report back whether you can flash it successfully ?

No worries about Knox triggered. I sent in mine to check usb port charging issue n warranty provided FOC. USB port replaced FOC

You can still root without triggering the knox

Is better to have it triggered as you are now completely free to flash any stuff. And as quoted earlier no worries claiming warranty too

This is my 7th experience claiming warranty in Samsung service centers past 6 years. My previous 5 cases phone rooted n flash with custom rom I still get warranty honoured. One time my first Tab even bootup with the famous yellow triangle. As I have rooted I was prepared to pay n just plain lazy to revert back to official stock n unrooting etc. Only one case phone S3 motherboard change on unrooted phone ( son's unit and motherboard just died suddenly)

Mobile odin will auto check md5 of the file downloaded from sammobile

All your data will remain intact in both situation

I am very happy with the Note3. I see absolutely no necessity to even flash any custom ROM.
Present ROM n in fact since original default ROM has been excellent n is bugs free. Any bugs if have I have yet too find it. 4g is excellent n have recorded 30k to 45k download speeds at KL
Hardware is excellent with no bexel n button issues as reported by some users. Only usb port inconsistent charging issue but now solved as is replaced under warranty from service center
Presently on UK MJ7 ROM n phone is Knox triggered on first few days rooting using CF Root

No such problem selecting maxis prefix. I did a topup for my daughter prepaid ( when she was back from UK) only last month. Perhaps you don't know how to use the app. You just need select done at each step to progress

That means you fail to root it properly. What method did you use

I have tried to use N3 tip on N 10.1 but it just cannot fit in n drop out easily as is much smaller. The N 10.1 tip is similar to N2 tip size

Once knox is trip you cannot as of now revert it back to default 0x0. Too many Horror stories of downgrading firmware n dont even bother to try unless you want experience of numerous issues thereafter.

When you want to buy from them tell them specifically whether you want SME or AP sets as they sell both and of course AP is cheaper.
