Hi all..

Does Note 3 has Samsung Maps just like the Nokia Maps that could be used offline?

I saw the latest Google Maps is installed but there's no way to make it work offline.

I dont' have data plan, only WiFi sad.gif

Thank you.

How about Waze? Can download the maps via wifi first. Or invest in Papago? sweat.gif

Waze can use offline??

Thanks for your suggestion.

Any drawbacks of waze? Huhu..

By the way, I really love the google maps. It could even detect my current location whilst at was at car basement..huhu..

The only thing is I cannot use it offline? Is there any solutions for offline google maps? Can I downgrade to the 6 version which can be used offline?

is there such a flip case that could maintain the original leather back cover of the note 3? huhu...

i prefer flip case because can protect the main screen if the phone accidentally fell off, but i dont like the cover to be bulky.. and i love the back cover so much..

I have problem with this.,

Using my laptop Windows 7, it still can detect and connect.

But on my my PC

Did you install the drivers or Kies 3 on your PC?

Note 3 uses the microusb 3, but is backwards compatible with the usual microusb 2.
miniusb is the older standard used by the earlier Blackberry phones.
*
i've tried install the drivers from so many sources but still fail.

Also has installed KIES but still the same.

the usb 3 cable connection is OK, but i'm too lazy to plug in/plug out the cable from the wall charger.

So I want to use the existing mini usb cable.

since my laptop can, why my PC can'[t? sad.gif

Beware the Beijing smog. It was horribly bad last year coz everyone had to burn coal warmers during winter. You may not get to take any pics except grey here and grey there. And you will need an air filter rebreather mask laugh.gif
Try a different USB port and/or change the cable. Bro, it is MICRO usb not mini usb. Mini usb will not fit.
*
Already changed the cable and the port, still cannot.

have you yourself tried both cable types on the same laptop/PC? are they working fine?

i have not tried connecting the phone using usb 3 on my laptop (which can connect to the normal micro usb cable)

I had the same problem too. What I did was restart the phone while connected to the laptop and then let windows search and install the drivers automatically. These took about 2 hours because my internet is slow maybe but as long as laptop can detect I'm happy already.

I forgot to mention I tried installing from Helium drivers, KIES but everything just does not work before that.

Thank you.... I'll try out later..

It doesn't matter you use the Knox app or not.
Any app that try to encroach the phone root system will bring the pop up preventation notice...even Google or Samsung own apps...lolz
*
I see.. but I'm just wondering why the notification just popped up after I used the phone for more than 2 weeks. In fact, I have installed several downloaded apk b4 but never came across this.

Anyway, one more changes I made to the phone is changing the Data usage setting, turning off the Auto sync and enable data restriction. Is it related?

I got this notification when I first switch on my phone =.=" no apps install, other than stock.  shakehead.gif

Really? As far as I remember, I never seen this message b4. In fact, my phone still less than 1 month, in case this is the 2nd alert. Ermm..

Anyway, seems like the alert is harmless right?

But does it really force stop the application?
