dont ever use matte sp, I hate it. Degrade the SP quality. If you really dont want fingerprint, get oleophobic one.

I know, i have to since i got my note 3 on the 2nd day launcher so the only sp available at Samsung outlet at that time was this matte sp. So i just take it since i dont want my baby note 3 got scratches here and there on its screen even though some say it's hard for it to scratch sad.gif

I saw one of a girl yesterday using her note 3 with glass sp. Her screen was so clear bright compared to mine which is using matte normal sp. Thinking of buying online but i dont think i can put it on myself perfectly without any dust trapped sad.gif

Matte is means to reduce a lot in visual experience.

Don't use matte if you want awesome screen look.

Used to use plastic clear SP then changed to glass. NEVER GOING BACK. rclxm9.gif

Some tips for putting on an SP.
1. Increase the humidity in the area. Use a humidifier or do it near a boiling pot of water. Get nearby the steam.
2. Wipe down the work area with a fairly NEW wet microfiber cloth. Old ones tend to leave some fibers behind.
3. BEFORE removing the protective layer of the SP, wipe down!
4. Wipe down the screen properly. Make completely sure there's no lint.

I realized its reduce the visual experience once the guy finish putting it on my screen. Next salary need to change my sp. I hate it actually seeing this unclear kabur2 screen. Hehe~

Or glass sp is it available in any acccessories store? From what i read, most user by it online. If I can get it from any store, it would be easy for me since they can put it on for me.

I tried getting from store. They screwed up the installation. In the end, gave me an unopened unit and ask me DIY. shakehead.gif

Yeah, most of the time, the shops are not willing to do it. They wanna reduce the chances of screwing up during installation. tongue.gif laugh.gif

I haven't tried glass SP myself, last time only used plastic SP but after started using Liquid Armor on my Note II, never turned back for any screen protector. biggrin.gif

Next time must try. nod.gif

does it make the screen less likely to break (increase durability) if dropped?

Yup. The thick ones (0.5mm) are better at absorbing impact. The Note 3's digitizer is pretty awesome so it's OK to use a thick one.

The thin ones (like SGP 0.26mm) are less bulky and also a little lighter but won't take as much impact.

Installing a glass sp is much much easier than a plastic sp. Hardly got bubble left. The tricky part is to make sure there is no dust trapped under it.

Ballistic has been around for awhile, they had some good cases for S3 and Note 2. Good if they have it for the Note 3, but I don't like the bulges at the corners. Otterbox is sleeker.
