thats the reason the go for 64-bits?
*
Maybe, who knows? You have a point though. 64 bits allows some calculations to happen faster although that should already be handled by the gpu which is supposed to do vector redraws without breaking a sweat.

One article said that they wanted to unify both ios and macos and challenge Intel, which again may have some truth to it.

be sure to totally delete knox!
what about the fit and finish?
let's say the ends of the SP extends to the edge a little bit more and then BAM, your case will just not fit or will lift the SP

or

the edges are sharp and not chamfered then it might cause not so good fit

hahahahaha

the secret is to get Note 2 glass sp since its coverage is much smaller and will nicely cover the LCD part of the phone's front
*
Oh you are still using a Note2 from your siggy... tongue.gif

Or maybe they're just getting ready for the next stage? Stuffing more than 4GB+ of RAM in phones lol will NEED a 64bit proc lol.

A wonder what they're gonna use it for though,  and I personally think it's a move Android vendors will make first (in line with their current feature bloating) before the fruit guys.

5GB of RAM in phones lol. 1 more GB and it can run COD Ghosts already.
*
If we can have hardware virtualization in 64bit arm it will be a fantastic boost for multi boot OSes.

I did ask earlier, are you running linux on your note2? Tried it with an mhl?

I wonder if allocating 1gb to the vm in note3 will let become a desktop replacement of sorts...

QUOTE(reevephon @ Nov 7 2013, 09:54 PM)
But I suspect the chances of hardware issue is higher, because I have been seeing my friend using some sort of non original cable to charge their phone and eventually can't get to full charged at 100%. I don't really suspect it's the software that drain the battery so fast within seconds as I mentioned that if I re-plug again the charger and within seconds it will jump back to 100% and stay still in 100% even I plug out my charger. So I'm suspecting it's the charger or the usb cable problem as I just exchanged a brand new charger from samsung due to my previous one was faulty. But I have tried to use another USB 3.0 cable to do charging but still the same issue, but haven't tried with other charger yet, but maybe I will do a factory reset to see if this issue fix.

Anyway thanks for your clue.  biggrin.gif

Use the galaxy charging current and test your incoming current. You should get 1800 in the first few seconds when you start it from screen off. It drops to 1200 during screen on.

honeybadger or anyone, how do you link pics from dropbox? I tried sharing a pic but the link does not work with the [img] tag. I see that the URL that works is dropboxusercontent. How is that done?

I also added honeybadger's and benny888's case pics.

They are flashing other countries' firmware because they have tripped the Knox flag. Nothing wrong doing that, it's just that there's the potential warranty void issue.

If you've already tripped the flag, then go ahead and flash. Otherwise you run the risk of tripping Knox.

just put them pics into the 'Public Folder' . then followed by 'Copy Public Link' from the native client

Must this happen with the PC client only? What about doing it from the web UI ? I can't install the PC client for security reasons.

Yes after some googling....dropbox made it difficult to do this

Just a sample I took with the Note 2 earlier this year.

Using this is a little easier than G+ for pic sharing.

Note 3 the other day:

just a word of advice, do optimize your images before sharing it for direct web view
*
What browser are you using? I'm on my notebook using Iron browser (a Chrome re-compile stripping out all "send to Google" code) and the page is sized nicely.

I find FF doesn't perform any resize and probably busts the screen width.

Just tried with FF....spoilered now.

viewing is fine.. it's the downloading part that hurts. eg. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1695648...1101_185049.jpg is 3.1MB in size  shocking.gif
*
Errr....well I thought purists want the original file for analysis tongue.gif

How to web optimize in dropbox? I don't do a lot of image processing so I'm not familiar, and I'm sort of a purist myself so I don't mind the option of being able to download the original.

I thought the [img] tag just performs a display in the post, you don't need to download if you don't want?

I'll shoot some when I'm in Beijing... Flying off in less than 12 days for 2 months.
Then, I'll be in Shanghai for a couple of days which I will take opportunity to visit the neighbouring provinces like Suzhou, Hangzhou. laugh.gif

http://www.east-beijing.com/ I'll be staying in this hotel for 60 nights and I hope the room's view could give me some nice photos.

Aside of Note 3, I will bring my whole set of DSLR... laugh.gif

Ermm... Has anyone still using the standard mini usb cable connecting the Note 3 to PC?

I have problem with this.,

Using my laptop Windows 7, it still can detect and connect.

But on my my PC
Windows 7 as well, it says unable to start device. Anyone?
*
Did you install the drivers or Kies 3 on your PC?

Note 3 uses the microusb 3, but is backwards compatible with the usual microusb 2.

miniusb is the older standard used by the earlier Blackberry phones.

Hopefully the cold weather doesn't spoil my trip that much...
I plan to go light most of the time, with just Note 3.

Only when I visit those landmarks of Beijing, I will bring the whole arsenal. laugh.gif

Beware the Beijing smog. It was horribly bad last year coz everyone had to burn coal warmers during winter. You may not get to take any pics except grey here and grey there. And you will need an air filter rebreather mask laugh.gif

QUOTE(aimy @ Nov 8 2013, 01:30 AM)
i've tried install the drivers from so many sources but still fail.

Also has installed KIES but still the same.

the usb 3 cable connection is OK, but i'm too lazy to plug in/plug out the cable from the wall charger.

So I want to use the existing mini usb cable.

since my laptop can, why my PC can'[t? sad.gif
*
Try a different USB port and/or change the cable. Bro, it is MICRO usb not mini usb. Mini usb will not fit.

Another thing is I really hope my Note II and Note 3 are compatible with China SIM card. laugh.gif

GSM should be fine. I had no problems using a China prepaid SIM while I was there, using the Note 2.

Actually what can they really do with your imei? In the days of analog phones they could clone it but current gsm security is good enough to detect duplicates.

Its like looking up a public directory and finding Wong Fei Hung has a phone number... so?

But of coz it's the other unknown stuff that vroot and kingo do that is of concern.
