Finally got it after downloading since Saturday morning, played the intro level and that's it. Not too shabby, haven't gotten to any real combat or felt the gravity yet though.

Well. it's only the first level so obviously it's not gonna be very exciting or pile you with enemies. just to get you enticed into the story.

OK, tried playing deathmatch with the guys just now. It was a bit laggy I guess could be because of the host or something I guess. But I see why people say it's a disorienting experience in that you can walk onto the ceiliings with the help of the antigrav stations, very cool indded.. and the portals that pop open when you go near themm, again a very cool experience.
Too bad the nausea would probably put off a lot of people. |

I enjoyed suntanning that naked ass just now, the sizzling of the flesh as I turned on the GRILL ASS setting on the leech gun charged with the sun beam energy is just.. satisfying!

don't worry the ass is not clear, I don't even think its really naked cause most of the time there's a blood stain where the ass is.

I just got the game today.
And I just finished it! Really.. it could have been a great game, some additional touches to the story line, less shuttle sequences, could have risen above any other average FPS. But one thing just plain dragged it down in my opinion. DEATH WALKING.. DEATH in a game is suppossed to be a penalty, you sucked, you died, you screwed up. you pay for it. But in Prey, when you die you enter death walking which is basically a short 10 second sequence for you to get your bearings back (yes.. you can literally just stand that and do nothing and come back to life) And when you come back to life it's not like you quick loaded a save game or anything, you just pick up where you left off, the boss is still wounded, the enemies you killed or dead, so nada, nothing, NO PENALTY AT ALL. When you realise that death holds no meaning you stop playing a game, you stop dodging agreesively, there's no tension, no stress, and then finally you realise there's just no fun in it anymore. There are parts of the game where it shines, nice touches of level design and uses of the portal methodology, at times the story tries to get interesting but it's too little too late. I had so much hope on this game.. WASTED hope now! For a single player game it sucks because as I mentioned, there's no tension when you're playing. Maybe that's why they don't allow you to pick Cherokee level immediately since you could probably just breeze through that as well! Haven't played any MP matches yet though. |
