anyway, IMHO,it looks hell lot better with that.. no heat shrink is a bonus for me...

besides, if u remove the sheath means that u gonna clamp the 4 wires + shield inside the plug. the clamping may not firm enough. on the other hand, if u drill the plug, the whole diameter of L-4E6S is kinda too fat to clamp because the clamp of Rean plug is too small.. anyhow, i still prefer the drilling method as i have my technique to 'slim up' the fatty canare cable so that it fits perfectly in the rean plug's clamp..
