for android... i think all needs root access. plus, comparing what i do now (which is configure it on my streamyx router), the change settings on phone and PC is a bit more of a hassle. smile.gif

also, the most 'popular' apps to change DNS seems to no work on the newer version of the OS.

anyway... would you know if such a setting is possible on any other mifi models? or all mifi models/ brands at the moment can't do that? thanks...

Weird because those using Digi/Maxis don't have this problem as far as I know.

Some users whose carrier does allow tethering but does not have a current partner agreement with Apple may have been inadvertently affected by the changes.

By understanding that statement, umobile affected because umobile never have partner agreement with apple. Even umobile keep stating about the agreement when user ask.

If I terminate my Broadband 20GB now, do I have to pay full amount bill or pro-rate? Currently I just finished the 1 year contract.
*
need to pay in full. my suggestion if you still want to terminate earlier than your billing date, use up the quota 20GB and then terminate (this what I do). Or just wait until 1 - 2 days before the billing date and terminate.

btw u mobile lte speed is quite amazing at my place, but used up the quota very fast, is it normal?
*
LTE is amazing but not to worry about the quota really fast used up. As long as you just use it like before, same data amount will be used.

For example, to open 1 youtube video which 20Mb. The data still 20MB even you use 3G or LTE, the only different is the speed to download it, LTE take 20 sec, 3G may take 1 minutes.

BUT from my own experience, when 1st start use the LTE, I tent to open everything I could think off, just to feel the speed. I use all my quota really fast, end up paying for booster. A month after that, I start back to old routine, even by billing date, still have left some quota.

Just enjoy it and you don't want to go back to old speed already.

each telco have their own coverage mah, totally no dependency wan.

you can go to digi/celcom LTE coverage, but may not have Maxis LTE coverage. same also wat.

in general, there is no nationwide LTE coverage, not even fully cover Klang Valley.
*
My area 5 minutes walk to KLCC, still no LTE... middle of KL.

that means nothing if umobile doesnt even cover KLCC or even Pavillion or even Low Yat Plaza.

there's only 1 spot in KL with LTE coverage and that is BTS building.

i havent tried how far away from BTS building will have LTE coverage. from monorail? plaza berjaya? imbi plaza? sungai wang? low yat? etc etc. They could even set it up to broadcast inward (in-building coverage) instead of outside.
*
Last I test there only inside.

umobile cant request for e-billing meh..? i hate extra charge for billing
*
not sure umobile give rebate or not for e-billing because I only have broadband account (no need for itemised). For Maxis and Celcom, I opt for e-billing, both give discount for itemised item. Save about RM11 per month for 3 accounts.

oh, meaning now itemized bill for maxis and celcom no more charging ? no matter how many pages ?
yup actually there are option to pick for this during registration, just most of the dealers not familiar with this, i recommend customers to get e-billing as well, environment friendly is important.  cool2.gif
*
no more if opt for e-billing.
I don't like paper bill... become junk after pay... what a waste.

My company also opt for softcopy bills for claims.. so no reason for paper bills.
